When Davidson entered the main hall with Elena, Tiana was seated comfortably on one of the sofas with her legs crossed. It was a dark blue fitting dress with matching pin heels. Her pixie hair already growing and looking lighter. She didn't look like someone who had an emergency. Davidson paused after seeing her and Elena knew immediately that she was going to be the topic of discussion for whatever matter that was about to go on.

"Mother, what happened?" Alexina walked in soon after Davidson had asked and the woman stood with a bright smile on her face. She walked slowly towards the side of Elena.

"Today is the day when we'll find out whether this lady is a fake or not."

"Like seriously, mother..." Alexina said disappointedly.

"I can't let my son marry a con artist or a fraudster," she turned to Elena, "I tried searching you up but I found nothing. it was as if you did not exist and the fact that you've been seen a couple of times at the West district makes it more confusing."

"Mother, would you stop this already!" Davidson yelled out but his mother didn't seem to care.

"I told you that the main reason I go to the West district is because I have a friend there."

"We'll find out today," a gentleman walked in. He was in a black leather jacket with a matching leather shoe and black pants. Elena's eyes shot open at the sight of him and he stared at her shortly before moving to Tiana's side. The sight of him made Elena feel more uncomfortable than whatever Tiana had installed.

Tiana stood confidently as the gentleman got to her side.

"What is all this mother?" Alexina finally asked.

"Y'all meet Detective Lewis. He has all the truth we've been looking for and he'll read it out loud to us," Davidson turned to Elena with his eyes wide open. Their cover was about to be blown and his mother was going to be disappointed if she found out that he had Elena to be his pretend-girlfriend. The shock alone tightened his throat in anticipation of what the detective was going to reveal. The supposed Detective Lewis pulled out a brown envelope that was kept perfectly at the side of his leather jacket and he smiled again at Elena sending a chill down her spine. She knew him but not as Detective Lewis... She knew him as Isaac.

She just watched what was about to unfold before her...

"You have a fair idea of what you are going to get yourself involved," Helena repeated. Elena turned back to her with a smile. She fixed on her pump heels and then stood and faced Helena with a smile as she got closer to her.

"I've waited five years for this day. I'm not doing this for just Mum and Dad but I'm doing this for Grandpa Dan too," Helena could feel tears forming in her eyes.

"I wish I was the one to tell you to stop but they deserve every bit of it, every single one of it but let me remind you, once you start there's no end."

"This life I live has no purpose. I can give it an endless one," she smiled as if what she had planned to do was nothing.

"Throwing a huge feast in your house doesn't sound like the best way of celebrating a birthday," Enoch and Ryley turned to the presence of a sister-friend to Ryley, Davena. Ryley quickly moved to her side and embraced her.

"I thought you wouldn't make it."

"Owning one of the biggest resorts in the country and traveling out of town whenever I feel doesn't prevent me from celebrating a wonderful day like this with my sister."
