The next day I walked into the big brick building, my feet walking one after another, as I walked, a figure pulled me into a closet, it was dark, so I couldn't see his face. He had me pressed against the wall, his hand over my mouth. i realized how tall he was as he towerd over me. Suddenly, i heard the principle, sounding panicked over the loud speaker. He lowered his hand off my mouth
"Lockdown! I repeat, this is not a drill! Lockdown!!!!"
I was too stunned to speak as my eyes adjusted to the dark room and saw his face. It was the boy. It was miles.
I whispered, as quiet as possible
"Miles, how did you know?, a single tear ran down my cheek as I heard a gunshot in the distance
"Shh, y/n, I saw a van outside the school and some guys hanging around, I knew something was up," he was quite, his voice was sweet, but deep and cold
So many things raced through my head,
Am I gonna die today?
Why did he save me?
And how did he know my name!?!?
It was quiet for a moment. He stepped away from me, giving me some space.
I felt tears build up in my eyes. I started to cry silently. He noticed.
"Y/n," he sounded worried and sad
He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me close to him, I embraced his hug and quietly sobbed into his chest. He gently rubbed my back and held me close to him,
"Y/n, I promise you ill protect you, dont worrie"
I could feel his heartbeat. He was clearly slightly nervous, i couldn't tell if it was because of me or the fact that someone is on campus with a gun
"T-thank you, Miles." I was as quiet as I spoke, I felt my legs getting weak.
He imitately noticed that I was wobbly, he sat down on the floor and pulled me down with him, his back was against the wall, I sat next to him and he pulled me onto his lap, he hugged me tightly, my head nuzzled into the crook of his neck. He gently rubbed my back. I felt his heartbeat again. He kissed the top of my forhead, I imitately felt butterflies. We heard someone running by the door, he hugged me tighter, we heard police talking on walkie talkies, we then heard shots, i flinched at the shots.
"It's okay. Y/n, I've got you"
I nuzzled deeper into his neck. I look up and see him blushing. My whole heart filled with love. We had only ever waved and stared. I always felt that connection deep down. He looked back down at me,
As his eyes met mine, they widened, and love and admiration filled his eyes. He blushes even more, his face turning a light shade of pink. He then wispers
"W-wow y/n, y-your so beautiful." There was a moment of silence. "Shit... did i actually just say that?" He looked and sounded even more nervous
I cupped his face in my hands as he blushed even harder
"You're so cute," I softly smiled. My mind had completely forgotten that we were in a lockdown.
He looked even more nervous now
"God, Y/n, you make me so fucking nervous,"
I smile and lean into him, he hugged me back his arms wrapped around my waist
MILES POV:
my heart is racing,
(In my mind) oh my God she's actually hugging me, I can feel her heartbeat with mine. I can't BELIVE I finally get to be close to her.
I puller her a little closer. Then she rested her head on my chest again!
I want to kiss her so badly, but is it too soon? I mean, we're not even dating, i dont even know her! But i feel like i do , and I want her so bad! She's so perfect! And I think she has feelings for me, wait... dose she? Shit now im overthinking again!
Y/n's pov:
His heartbeat getting faster again? I can't BELIVE I'm actually cuddling with the boy across the room! He's so perfect, I want to stay like this forever.
Suddenly, we hear the loud speaker
"Everyone needs to go home. You may leave your classrooms. "
I let out a sigh of relief, I slowly get off his lap and sit next to the wall, Miles gets up and puts out a hand for me, I take his hand and he helps me up, as I get up he places a hand on my waist.
"So uh... y/n? I- isn't your dad on a business trip..." I was surprised he remembered that i had said something about it on Monday to the teacher during class.
"Yeah, he is."
"S- so you would have to go home alone, right...?"
"Yeah, besides my brother, but he's at work a lot,"
"Well, I could take you home with me... this whole situation has you shaken up, I can tell, w-would you like to stay at my house...?"
I started blushing. His voice was so hot but cute and perfect! God, the boy I barely knew was driving me crazy!!! But it feels like we have known each other forever!
"Yeah, I'd really like that,"
He gently grabbed my hand, interlocking his fingers with mine, and slowly opened the closet door, and we saw people hugging each other and people going to their cars. He walked me to the parking lot, and he walked up to a black dodge challenger, damn he's hot and has a nice car! He walks to the passenger side door and opens it, and moves out of the way and grabs my hand as I sit down, he closes the car door and walks to the driver's side and gets in.
