Aira's POV
"So tell me something more about your new roommate." Wooyoung broke the silence between him and Aira.
"There's nothing really to say about him. I literally know nothing about him and I'm not sure if I will any time soon." she replied while adjusting the lights.
"Oh come on... It can't be that bad it's not like you hate each other to the point where you don't even talk to one another or is it?" he asked with curiosity in his voice.
"Right to the point, Woo. It's exactly like that. It's either wordless tention between us or awkward small talk, which San said he doesn't like. Mind you it hasn't even been 24h of us living together." Aira shot back at him.
"Hmmm... So his name is San? Is he at least hot?"
"Jeez, Woo don't tell me you'll try put him on the 'eligible bachelor's list' that you have created for me??" she clearly tried to act surprised.
"Hey! The list isn't called like that... It's just a list for your next possible hookup or a date." Woo joked.
"And you know that I don't need it." Aira rolled her eyes, clearly irritated because of Wooyoung.
Wooyoung chuckled at Aira's exasperated response, his eyes twinkling with mischief.
"Well, I'm just saying, if he happens to be easy on the eyes, it wouldn't hurt to have a little eye candy around the apartment, right?"
Aira shot him a mock glare, shaking her head in disbelief.
"You and your matchmaking schemes. I swear, you should be a professional matchmaker with how much you meddle in other people's love lives."
Wooyoung grinned, undeterred by Aira's teasing. "Hey, someone's gotta look out for you, Aira. And who better than your trusty best friend?"
Aira rolled her eyes, but couldn't suppress a small smile. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Thanks, Woo."
Their banter was interrupted by the sound of Aira's phone chiming with a new message. She glanced down at the screen and frowned slightly before quickly typing out a response.
"What's up?" Wooyoung asked, noting the change in Aira's expression.
"It's just a message from my photography professor. Apparently, there's a last-minute assignment due next week," Aira explained, her tone resigned. "Looks like I'll be spending even more time cooped up in the darkroom."
Wooyoung frowned sympathetically. "That sucks, Aira. But hey, at least you'll have some peace and quiet away from Mr. Mysterious Roommate."
"Yeah, there is that. Silver linings, I guess."Aira chuckled, shaking her head.
"But what is it about?"
Aira quietly read the message and her eyes widened.
"I need to find a male model for a photoshoot..."
"Well I'm right here, you know. " Wooyoung said quietly.
"I know. That's the problem... Coursmates are strictly prohibited." she said with some notes of distress in her voice.
"Is it some fashion editorial thing? Because our professor doesn't do these kind of things often where the Coursmates are prohibited to be a part of the photoshoot?
"It is... Well.. Kind of.. It's more like a grunge type theme." she looked down.
"In that case can't you just text our senior Hongjoong? I'm sure he would agree to be your model, besides his sense of style fits the theme perfectly." Wooyoung shrugged.
"You know that he's busy shooting with Seonghwa all the time..." Aira crossed her arms on her chest.
"Yeah. And? Asking never hurt nobody.."
"Well I'll try, I guess..." she replied with little to no enthusiasm.
As they continued to chat, the topic of conversation shifted to lighter subjects, the gossip and laughter flowing freely between them. And amidst the chaos of their busy lives, Aira couldn't help but feel grateful for the unwavering support and friendship of her best friend, even if he did have a tendency to meddle in her love life every now and then.
-----------------------After spending and hour or two more at the studio experimenting with different lighting and new poses for their upcoming assignments and exam works Wooyoung's eyes widened in surprise as he read the message on his phone he suddenly received, his fingers flying across the screen as he quickly typed out a response.
"Guess what, Aira?" he exclaimed, excitement bubbling in his voice. "We're going to be photographing tomorrow's volleyball practice!"
Aira's eyes lit up with a mix of surprise and anticipation. "Seriously? That's amazing news!"
"Yeah, apparently Professor Lee wants us to capture some action shots for a special project," Wooyoung explained, his grin widening. "This is going to be so much fun!"
Aira nodded enthusiastically, already mentally planning out the shots she wanted to capture.
"Definitely. I can't wait to get some great shots of the team in action."
Aira nodded enthusiastically, already mentally planning out the shots she wanted to capture.
"Certainly."As they packed up their equipment and prepared to leave the studio, the prospect of photographing the volleyball practice filled them both with excitement and anticipation. And as they made their way home, their minds buzzing with ideas and possibilities, Aira couldn't help but feel grateful for the unexpected opportunities that seemed to present themselves when least expected.
------------------------
"Do you need a lift today?" Wooyoung asked Aira as they were pacing through the university hallways.
"Nahh I'm good. Besides I'm not leaving just yet.." she said calmly.
"Why not?" Wooyoung purrsed in confusion.
"I'll try to find Hongjoong or Hyunjin and ask them for help. I bet they gonna be cooped up together in the studio, since they practically live there." Aira joked.
"Well if that's the case, good luck then. Text me how it goes."
They hugged each other goodbye and went their separate ways.
