How long will this ride take? Thought a twelve-year-old Kate as she rolled her eyes and sighed. Both of her parents were jamming to David Guetta's Titanium.
"You shoot me down, but I won't fall, I am Titaaaanium!" sang her Mother, Beth Rosewood.
"Oh mum, please stop, it's embarrassing," cried Kate. The music was so loud that her ears might pop any second soon. She wondered why her younger ten-year-old twin siblings, Cassandra and William, were not bothered.
After about an hour or so, the Rosewood family arrived in their new home. Their house is located in the middle of two gray houses, and right across is a 7eleven. There, standing on their front lawn is a lady in her 30s with dark brown hair and piercing blue eyes.
-KATE'S POV-
"Ah, she must be the house agency," said my Father, John Rosewood. "I'll go get the house keys from her and chat a little, be back soon." He gave my Mum a soft kiss on the cheek and head off.
"Kate, Cass and Will! You guys may take a look around the house for a while, but don't stray around!" exclaimed Mum.
Great! I thought.
After seven minutes of examining, I thought that the house seemed fine. The grass was neatly trimmed and the walls were beautifully painted.
"Kate, Cass, Will! Come here, we're going in the house." yelled my Dad. I could tell that he seems very excited.
"I'm coming!"
As I ran towards the front lawn, I couldn't help but feel that I was being watched. I spun my head around, but I couldn't seem to find anyone watching me.
It's okay Kate, there's no one there. It's just one of your weird thoughts again. I said to myself. Just as I was about to run, the sprinkler turned on.
CRASH!
The green watering can that was on the little wooden shelf fell down.
The first thing that came into my mind was: Run! So I did.
-END OF KATE'S POV-
"What happened out there Kate? You seem out of breath," queried Mrs Rosewood.
"Nothing, Mum, I'm fine," Kate lied. She knew that her Mum wouldn't believe her.
-MR ROSEWOOD'S POV-
As soon as I stepped foot on this house, I felt a horrible, creepy feeling. Seeing my daughter's eyes (Kate) dart from left to right and the troubled look on her face, I could tell that she felt it too. I couldn't tell Beth about this because she wouldn't believe me. I had to shake the thoughts out of my head and cope with the new house.
"Okay, all of our rooms and workrooms will be on the second floor. There is also a basement and a small attic. The kitchen, dining room, living room, pantry, guest room and a medium sized garage on the first floor. Kate, Will and I will be cleaning up the basement and sort things out."
"Cool," said William.
"Cass, you can help your Mum with the kitchen and living room, or you can sort out your room. Your room will have a door connecting to Kate's room. Will's will be right across Kate's and your Mum's and mine will be at the end of the hallway."
"Okay Dad," said Cass, stopping to think. "I think I'll just sort out my room first, and then go down just in time to help Mum with the kitchen."
