"Hey Kate? Move that shelf a little bit to the right please," John requested.
"Okay, sure Dad," replied Kate.
With every single step closer to the shelf, her heart thumped louder and faster.
Nah, It's nothing. Just me being a scaredy Kat. Hahah, get it? Kate turned into Kat. Oh God, my jokes are so lame. Kate said to herself.
Although the shelf was quite heavy, she managed to move it to the right. Just as she was about to go back to her Dad, an icy hand grabbed her arm, causing Kate to scream and run as fast as her legs would carry her.
"Dad! Help me, Dad!" shrieked Kate as tears came flowing down her face. Her Dad hugged her until she calmed down.
"What happened there, sweet-" Just before John could finish his sentence, a piercing scream coming from the second floor filled the air.
"WHO ARE YOU? WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?! GO AWAY! PLEASE, LEAVE ME ALONE! PLEASE.."
There, standing in front of Cassandra in her bedroom is a demonic girl with short, black, silky hair holding a butcher knife with an evil grin plastered across her face. She had blood dripping from each sides of her mouth, her throat, her wrists, and right thigh. Staining her white, but dirty dress. She was around 8 years old, but scary enough to make a grown man frightened to death.
CLASH! BANG!
"Oh My God, Dad!" croaked Kate, "It's Cassandra! Dad! It's her voice, what's happening?"
"William, quick, go upstairs and look for Cass, make sure you bring Mum too," ordered John.
"Okay Dad," replied William, running as fast as he could.
"Dad, " Kate said, still in her Dad's arms, " can we continue cleaning this tomorrow? It's getting pretty late, and it would be better if more people helped us. Uncle Edward, Aunt Mira, Samantha and Jordan are coming right?"
"Yes, they are coming tomorrow, sometime around 9 AM, let's get out of here," John beckoned.
-MRS ROSEWOOD'S POV-
I was just unpacking boxes in the living room peacefully, until I heard Cassandra's ear piercing shriek.
Cassandra! What's happening up there!?
As I ran out of the living room, I heard William plead for help.
"Mum, Mum! Please, help me!" I spun my head around an saw William clutching his right arm. I saw blood spilling out of it, picking up speed at every second.
"NO! LEAVE ME ALONE, PLEASE! GO AWAY!"
I heard Cassandra scream again.
Both Cass and Will are in pain, what did I do to deserve this?
"Will! Come here, I am so sorry but we have to go to Cass, I'll look at your wound as soon as possible." It broke my heart, having to say that.
"Mum, I'll hold on. I can still run, come on, we have to see Cass!"
We both dashed towards Cassandra's room, but unfortunately, her door was locked. We tried our best to open it, but it only rattled and shook. I banged the door until my palm turned red, but I could not give up. I had to get Cass out of there!
