The fire started shortly before 2 p.m. and was declared "fire out" around 5 p.m. Investigators have said that it was caused by leakage of electricity. Though it spread through quickly, firemen were immediately summoned and were able to prevent the fire's further spree. Fortunately no one was hurt as the present faculty members were able to act quickly.
It was the news update. I've been walking back and forth for hours still inside our entertainment room, Khrystle just left to perk some stuff back at the university.
"Drei."
I flinched when I saw her immediately coming back, "You're back? Did something came up?"
"Uncle Max called me he wants to talk with us" She was still on her phone.
"Okay let's wait inside the study" I turned off the wide screen T.V. and head out first to the study room.
I remained standing while Khrsytle was still busy making and receiving different simultaneous calls, being an active club president was a heavy obligation indeed, as our high school newspaper club doesn't just focus on our department but the totality of the current or events happening in our university.
I sighed wondering my father's whereabouts. I hate him and his selfishness especially he's being of a complete control freak when it comes to me. I should be rejoicing that the freaking university he absolutely values is in trouble but, I just totally can't. I know I would still be affected for he is my father, my only family left.
The door in the study opened as he enters followed by our battler. His shoulders are down, both of his eyes were mixed of distress and weariness as his tie was loosened. He took of his suit and hand it to Emil. Making sure that my father needs are complete, the battler leaves to give us some privacy.
I observed the man as he took a glass out of his shelves and pour himself some bourbon, a sign of how stressful his day really is. I sat down in front of the table joining Khrystle as she ends her call and we both waited for him to settle down on his swivel chair.
My father, Max, although he is already on his early forty's, he still looks younger than his age if only it were not to his strict and superior personality. He is always careful yet firm in decisions he makes. Khrystle said I inherited my hazel eyes and straight nose from him but the rest was from my mom, so as my red wavy hair.
He took a glimpse of me before sighing, "I've already talk to the board of council and we've decide to cancel tomorrow's event, but the both of you got nothing to worry we will just postpone it for now. A week or two probably as our university theater will still be in a major reconstruction, we are gonna move the venue for the charitable event."
"But where are we supposedly going to move the venue Dad? When our campus is too far from the available theaters."
"I got that covered already we will move the venue at Carnegie Hall, it is the most conveniently near theater in our campus."
Khrystle and I look at each other, before Khrystle took the initiative to speak. "But from what we have learned, Carnegie Hall is an exclusive theater for major musical events and concert."
