1. FIRST MEET

Tori's pov

"No... Noo... Its..I..it's burning....Aaahh my neck is burning. Tha..that mark... aah... it's glowing again". I'm breathing heavily. NO.... it...it is better to say that I'm trying to breathe properly. I wasn't able to understand till now, what about this star kinda mark on my neck. An...and this place? I've visited this place so many times but-

Tori was woken up by someone's voice...

? : What happened? Is it a bad dream or what? Come on sit up... You're sweating like a pig...

Tori sits up on her bed taking support of the voice owner's hand, wiping her forehead which is eventually sweating excessively. She realised that she was dreaming, but she could also remember that it was not her first time dreaming of anything like that. She was still a bit confused and she looked at the owner of the voice weirdly who woke her up . It is her Maa (mom) who usually wakes her up by turning off her room's fan.

Tori: ummm... It's unusual but I love it.... Today I like the way you woke me up momma *Tori said playfully to her mother*

Maa: holo ta ki? Pagol holi naki??
(Mom: what happened? Have you gone mad or something?)

Tori: Maa.... *she looks in a downward direction rubbing her neck where her birth mark is situated*

Maa: say... What happened? Did you have a bad dream?

Tori: please say nah Maa... Is there anything unnatural with this star shape birth mark of mine??  Why do I have this particular mark on my neck? It  glows sometimes and then my neck feels like it's burning up

Maa: *looks around quickly and seems that she was caught a bit off guard* it...it is just a birth mark..N... Nothing special about it.... Uh..uhmm.. aren't you getting late?

Tori: late? For what? Wait... What's the date today?

*She seems tensed and her eyes widened like they're about to pop off*

Maa: *raising an eyebrow* 19th March... Didn't you say that you have a college program today so you will wake up early?

Tori: oh... shi-

Tori hurriedly got up. Her mother made a tsk sound seeing her daughter's situation.

Maa: hey...heyyy don't run like that or you'll hurt yourself. When will you even grow up huh? Erokom korle toke biye debo ki kore? (How will I be able to do your wedding?)

Tori: Maa I don't have time for these rubbish things...

Tori got dressed up in the meantime and left for her college. Her mother kept yelling but she gave least importance to her words. The only thing which she hates is "LOVE" and despite knowing that her mother keeps blabbering about marriage. She doesn't like it at all. Since she get to know that her father left her mom for another woman, she turned like a heartless bitch who only care about herself and her mom's happiness. But again... There are two people she love like hell... Her two friends for real...Pogo and Deb.

She reached the college premises and noticed Pogo standing at the gate with an extremely irritated face...

Pogo : WHAT'S THE TIME?

Tori: uh...ummm... Am I... too late?
*Tori asked her with a sarcastic smile while realising her major mistake*

Pogo: Stop this bull shit and hurry up. They're waiting for your recitation. Who do you think you are... A great poet who can arrive at the program whenever she wants?
