- Macabre - König vs Ghost x Male Reader

3 - Recovering

     König ran towards you asking if you were alright, you panicked and covered your face before he could see you. You couldn't move or speak from the anxiety and your ears began to ring and your vision blacked out. The captain ran towards you and shook you, your breathing heavy and delayed as if you couldn't cover your face enough and nearly were suffocating yourself with your hands. The captain's speaking was inaudible to you and she quickly grabbed the mask she got you and put it over your face. You were then quickly picked up with ease and were placed back on the bed, only the pain of the sudden embrace was the only thing to snap you back a little bit. The captain left to get Tank out the room, so you could settle down, König sat at the end of the bed to put distance between you two. You reached for his hand, he noticed and grabbed your hands, ultimately ending up sitting right next to you. You inhaled and exhaled drastically, before placing his hand against your chest. He flinched from the suddenness, but pressed against your chest and didn't, to slow your breathing and make you pace yourself. "Are you okay now maus..?" He asked, his voice gentle and full of worry. You put your head down on the back of his hand, holding it with both of your hands, nodding. "Thank you König.."  He jumped and scratched at his neck with his free hand, "Y-Your welcome maus." He said nervously.

   He looked down at you, clearly hesitating on asking you something. "What is it..?"  You asked, looking up at him, still holding his hand. "Maus... why don't you take your mask off..?" He asked nervously, not knowing if it would offend you or make you upset. You sighed, "Long story short, I was born with an injury and it always scared people and when I joined the military it was just easier for me to hide everything about myself, but I don't really like wearing it, but I don't want my face shown either.." You said, your hands were shaking slightly. "What about you, do you like wearing the mask?" You asked blatantly, "I feel, as if, I were to take it off, people would be more scared then they already are of me with the mask on.." He said a bit sadly, "Well, König, I'm not scared of you at all, and considering how I look, I'd never judge you, and besides, I'm sure you look very handsome."  You said nonchalantly before letting go of his hand and getting up to change into clean clothes. 

   You slid your shirt over your mask and sighed as your body was badly bruised and cut. You jumped from König unexpectedly putting his hands across your body, his hands felt rough but they had gentle intents, he sighed with sadness. "Does it hurt a lot, maus..?" He asked, you smiled and stood on the tips of your toes to reach up and pat his head, "It's okay gigantskiy krolik, it doesn't hurt too much, I've been through worse."  You said with a smile under your mask. "Mein Schatz.. bitte, ich verspreche, auf dich aufzupassen wenn ich dich von diesem ort wegbringe." He said under his breath before hugging you softly. You smiled and hugged him back tightly, deciding to hide that you understand German. You continued getting dressed while König sat on the bed, patiently waiting. You sat and talked to him for a bit before the doctor came in and asked some questions before discharging you and telling you to come back if anything unusual happened. You and König got up and went to the mess hall, "So, are you mad that I'm hiring you..?" He asked, remembering you never gave him an answer. "Oh, no, not at all, if your team is anything like you I'm thrilled, about time a real team takes interest in me, but I'm glad because it means I get to spend more time with you, and spar with you more often."  You smiled entwining your pinkie with his while walking. He chuckled and grabbed your hand fully, pulling you into the building where the scouting teams stay, upon entering you see the team of KorTac. "Everyone this is Macabre, our newest member." König announced.

   - König's POV - 

  Horangi had instantly stood up, greeting Macabre with a little handshake and a pat on his head. Macabre stayed close to me, although not holding my hand anymore. Macabre sat down with my team and chatted to them for a while, I stayed standing, watching closely. I sighed, leaning against the wall, closed my eyes for a brief moment until suddenly woken up when headphones where put over my head. I looked down, confused at Macabre's actions, until he put one finger up and pulled out his phone, the headphones made a connected noise and he played some songs for me, in German. I'd nod my head and tap my foot to some, eventually coming to sit down next to Macabre. - End of POV -
