Chapter 9: Lessons From Wes

(The next day)

Y/N's P.O.V

So, Tara is still in hospital, but she's okay.

I also managed to get through to Sam and she's gonna be here soon.

I'm getting ready to go to school after showering and changing in Tara's hospital bathroom.

I come out of the bathroom.

Y/N: Hey, babe.

Tara: Hey. That's a nice view for me.

I look down and remember that I'm shirtless.

Y/N: Yeah, I thought you might like it.

Tara: And you look cute with damp hair.

Y/N: Thanks. I don't have time to dry it properly, or I'll be late.

I grab my t-shirt and put it on.

Tara: Did I say you could put your t-shirt on?

I chuckle.

Y/N: Sorry, but I have to.

Tara: I guess it is for the best. I don't want any girls getting any ideas.

I go over to sit down so I can put my shoes on.

Y/N: Hey, so, I managed to get through to your sister. She's on her way.

Tara: Wait, really?

Y/N: Yep. That's what she said.

Tara: Doesn't mean she's telling the truth.

Y/N: Hey, she'll be here.

I stand up and grab my backpack.

Y/N: Okay, I better go. You gonna be okay? You got your spare inhaler?

Tara: Yeah, I'm okay. Just kiss me before you go.

I chuckle.

Y/N: Yes, ma'am.

I lean down and we kiss.

We then pull away.

Y/N: Okay, I'll be back soon. Get some sleep. Love you.

Tara: Love you too.

I walk out of her room and close the door.

Thankfully, she's got two cops outside her room at all times.

She'll be okay, I hope.

(One hour later)

I'm now at school and I go over to join my friends outside.

I walk over to see Finn, Wes, Amber and Mindy there.

Y/N: Hey, guys.

I sit down on the bench.

Finn: Hey, bro.

Amber: Hey.

Mindy: How's Tara?

Y/N: She's good. And she's safe. My dad has two cops guarding her room around the clock.

Amber: That's good.

Finn: Yeah, it is. I mean things could've been alot worse.

Y/N: Oh, and I called Sam.

Amber: She's coming?

Y/N: Yeah. Or at least she said she was.

Amber: Watch everything get worse.
