A week right after the mission had taken place, Makoto was sent back to his normal school life as a new rumor was popping up all over school, a ghost of some sorts.
Junpei: Have you heard of the story that's been going on at school lately? Apparently, someone went missing from the class next to us, they found them collapsed on the floor!
Yukari: You'd believe anything that's popular and going on in school. But then again, it is true, the faculty were taking care of the victim.
Junpei: This is a tough nut to crack, even for Junpei Iori, Ace Detective!
Yukari: Ace Detective? Are you stupid or something? More like Stupei, Ace Defective.
Junpei: HEY I HEARD YOU THE FIRST TIME ALRIGHT?!
Kotone laughs while Makoto just blasts more music into his ears to drown the noise from the outside world before he then grunts in pain which catches the attention of his friends as they rush to him
Junpei: You okay man?!
Kotone: There, something's glowing!
Something glowed within Makoto's back as they lifted his shirt up to see a red mark on his back which was permanent

Junpei: Dude, what's that you got on your back?! It looks like a Stigmata!
Yukari: It really is one! How did you even obtain one?
Before he could answer, the said Stigmata then burned as marks of it then disappear at once, leaving no trace of it behind as Makoto gets up like nothing happened.
Kotone: Are you alright?
Makoto: Yes, promise
By the way he said it, he looked like he was fine as the subject was changed back to the ghost story as Makoto pulls his shirt back down as the Key of Corruption was in his pocket as it glowed ever so slightly.
Time skip
Another month passes by as Makoto was sent on a solo mission to deal with a corrupted human by a Herrscher back in Nagazora as he enters the building to see the girl laying there as thorns protrude her body as she laid motionless
Makoto: Sorry, live strong
Just as Makoto tries to slash the girl's head off, he was stabbed in the abdomen by one of the vines before he backs off as the girl smirks as she gets back up
Psuedo: Pathetic human! I knew you were coming for me, so it was a good idea to let my guard down! I am cursed, unloved, my mother was harsh to me!! Not a single drop of love from her and people in my class hate me! I am nothing but a punching bag in my class!
Makoto: Oh, I don't care.
Psuedo: YOU WILL ONCE YOU DIE FROM THE ONE CHOSEN BY GOD!!
