Taylor's POV

When I woke up, Avia wasn't beside me. Guessing that she probably went to play, I went into the living room and she wasn't there.

"Avia? Baby?" I called out as I walked into the kitchen. My heart started racing and I frantically ran towards the door. It was still locked and she couldn't have unlocked it by herself.

"Baby? Where are you?" I called out. I ran into the halls of my apartment, searching left and right. I still couldn't find my little girl.

Tears started to appear in my eyes as I couldn't find my baby. I dialed my security on my phone, telling them to search the building. After a couple minutes went by, they came into my apartment to help me search. They said that no one left the apartment and no one came in. We only had cameras outside and not inside.

"Where is she!" I yelled, frustrated. She wouldn't runaway, she knows better than that. If no one entered, then she didn't get taken.

As I searched through the rooms again, I heard commotion down stairs which caused me to run. I darted towards the stairs and into the kitchen where they were huddled around the bottom kitchen cabinet.

"Oh my god!" I exclaimed, pushing them out of my way. I carefully picked up a sleeping Avia from inside the cabinet. I held her tightly in my arms, letting all the tears fall. She must've slept walked down here.

"Okay, she's fine, no injuries, she'll be okay" They say and then they all exit my apartment. I sat down on the couch with her lying in my arms. She was still breathing steadily, so she was definitely in a deep sleep since she couldn't hear all of the yelling.

Everything was flowing through my mind. Waking up to not finding her by my side was my worst nightmare. I felt so helpless not being able to do much. I watched as she started to stir in my arms and fluttered her eyes open, staring at me confused.

"Why are you crying?" She asks, yawning. I let out a laugh and started to cry once more. Being able to hear her voice after what just happened was the greatest feeling.

"Baby, do you remember anything that happened?" I asked her. She looked around the living room and shook her head.

"We found you in a cabinet. I woke up to you gone baby, I was so scared" I tell her and she gasps. She sits up in my arms and rubs her eyes.

"I was in bed, the last thing I remember" She says, shocked. I chuckled, she had no idea what scare she just gave me.

I stayed on the couch, just holding her close to me. I stared at the little amount of boxes that still had to get unpacked, but we were getting there. I decided to call my parents, let them know about the adventure I just went on.

After getting off the phone, definitely also giving them the scare of their life, I let Avia go into her room to figure out how she wanted everything to be organized. I was scared to leave her alone, scared this would happened again. I watched as she examined her whole room. I know that we were going to repaint it since the walls were just white and she wanted them to be a light pink.

"We're going to get you a brand new bed frame" I inform her as she sits down on the mattress that was on the ground. She wanted a bunk bed, but for her age I was terrified. She has the urge to jump off of high places, thinking she'll land it, but the last time she did that she ended up breaking bones.

The whole day consisted of unpacking everything and I got to the point where no more boxes were left, thank goodness. I checked back on Avia who was organizing her toys and putting them on shelves and in the bins. I smiled to myself on how organized she actually was, making sure her toys were standing straight and everything was clean.

Avia looked up at me when she finished, flashing me with a big smile on her face. We made our way downstairs because I was going to prepare some food. I picked her up, setting her on top of the counter so she could watch me and also stay in my sight. Right as I took all of the ingredients out, my phone started to ring. When I looked at the caller I.D. it was the last person I wanted to talk to right now. I immediately ended the call and gave Avia a smile as she looked at me confused. I started cutting up the veggies when my phone started ringing again.

"Mommy? Who keeps calling?" Avia asked in a curious tone. I shook my head as I look at my screen, ending it once again.

"No one important baby." I smiled.
