TW: running away, talking about punishments, ominous figure, strange dreams.
2 hrs of sleep
she got dressed and snuck out, her parents would never let her go outside this late or early whatever they think of that time.
She couldn't stop running, her body had a mind of its own, it didnt want to stop it just wanted to keep running forever and never ever turn back again, Every heartbeat echoed the relentless rhythm of her stride, the rhythm of her footsteps held the key to silencing the chaos within her with each passing moment, the urge kept growing, leave the world behind and find a new life.
She finally reached the scrapyard, she did not know how long she had been running but it didnt feel that long, there were so many things she could train with like a fridge carrying heavy objects like dumbbells would be easy, as she tried moving a huge fridge she only saw it move for 1 micrometre, she realized she was a mere weakling, a grain of salt trying to push a boulder forward. She knew these 3 and a half months were going to be the hardest months of her life even harder than that 14-hour exam.
She started by actually getting some food and water, they were key nutrients for giving her strength and moving her forward, she felt her insides were dry as a raisin and she was starving, it felt like her stomach was gonna eat itself soon.
she got a small water bottle and a small cereal bar from 24 hrs open gas station.
she started by doing things that were slightly out of her strength, she found an iron pole that wasn't really rusted, it seemed quite recently left here and she carved 2 heavy rocks she also built some stabilizers so as not to make it a safety hazard, that would be a big violation against science and construction.
At some point, she decided to stop her parents were gonna wake up soon and find their 'precious' daughter and punish her severely if she found somewhere she wasn't meant to be. As she was running back, she was still able to see the beautiful pearly sphere in the pool of clear black darkness, it was a mesmerizing sight to see and she felt a weird connection to this heavenly satellite, she always did, since she was a child, she adored it. she loved staying up late, just to finish her books and watch the bright sphere from below and its twinkling revealing stars, well nowadays there are basically never stars on the canvas of the sky due to light pollution. She missed watching them-
Suddenly she tripped over something, she was really confused, she felt sudden dizziness come across her and she was somewhere else like she was on the clouds they were the softest things to lay on, so warm and cosy, the best part was that she was closer to the moon it was a breathtaking scenery. all of a sudden there was a figure standing in front of her, it was quite slender, and it did not seem like a human creature. the creature started speaking:
"we shall meet again in a place filled with darkness"
Scarlett tried to speak but she realized she could not speak nor move anymore she could only watch the creature drift away
once the figure left the horizon, she instantly came back to where she had tripped, she was shaken by what had happened she really wanted to know more but hated the fact she knew barely anything about what had just happened, no one would believe her. she hurried home, it was probably because she was tired from not being able to sleep, she has been working out and she was quite likely unconscious.
she had finally reached 'home sweet home', and she went to bed
the moon is beautiful, isn't it?....
