Don't Do It

She carves herself with a pretty pink blade,

The clear blue waters all start to fade.

She remembers the time when things were good,

And now they weren't at all as they should.

She smiles in victory at the pain,

At least there was something she could gain.

The world goes hazy,

Life blinks by,

She doesn't even think that it's worth a try.

How will it feel to not exist?

Even though she knows she will not be missed.

The darkness is so close,

So heartbreakingly near,

How come she doesn't feel a shred of fear?

She's just about to close her eyes,

When she sees a face blink back twice.

His heart is torn as he wonders why,

He mutters in pleas, praying for time.

Without a thought she's in his arms,

And he drives as fast as he possibly can.

Its 6,

Its 7,

Its 8,

Oh wait-

"She's not okay, I'm sorry it's too late."

He falls to his knees,

His breath a single plea.

The tears fall,

He's lost his world,

All in all.
