Armona oneshots (Under the Boardwalk)

Seeing a movie

One day, Armen wanted to do another date with Ramona. He called her on his crab phone. At Ramona’s place in the sea, her crab phone rang. She picked it up.

“Hello?” Said Ramona.

“Hey, it’s Armen. I wanted to go on another date with you tonight.”

“OK. How about we go to the movies in your land crab place.” Ramona said.

“That sounds good.” Said Armen. “See you then.”

He hung up on her. Meanwhile, Armen told his friends, Bobby, Manny, and Jimmy what he was going to do.

“Guys, I’m going to the movies with Ramona tonight.”

“Oh.” Bobby said. “That sounds great.”

“It sounds fun.” Said Jimmy.

“Looks awesome.” Said Manny.

At Ramona’s place in the sea, she told Val (Her Mom) that she was going to the movies with Armen tonight.

“Well, you have fun tonight.” She said, “I’m going to go on a date with Armen’s Uncle Bruno. Can your sister go with you?”

“Oh, sure.” Ramona said. “If she finds us kissing during the movie, she is going to be so shocked.”

And so, Ramona and her sister, Shelly swam up to the land crab movie theater.” Meanwhile, Armen was waiting for Ramona at the theater, he felt so nervous. His heart was pounding really fast. When Ramona and Shelly arrived at the theater, Armen was so happy. Ramona wore her sea crab tiara. 

“Your tiara looks really good.” Said Armen. “By the way, why did you bring your sister?”

“Well Shelly’s coming because my Mom and your Uncle Bruno are going on a date.”

“OK. But if she finds us kiss, Ramona, she is going to be so shocked.”

“Well then, let’s go.” Ramona said.

So they went to the theater and the movie they were going to see a crab movie adaptation of When you Wish Upon a Lantern (A/N, it’s a real book by Gloria Chao.)

“Wow!” Ramona said. “I saw the trailer and my favorite sea crab actress is playing Liya Huang.”

“And my favorite land crab actor is playing Kai Jiang.” Armen said.

And so, they got their tickets and their concessions. And they walked into the theater.

“Now remember, Shelly, Ramona whispered. “I know you are overwhelmed during the trailers. But don’t worry. There are going to be good ones before the movie starts.”

“Yeah,” Armen said. “Don’t worry about being overwhelmed.”

And so when the trailers started, Shelly survived not being overwhelmed.

And when the movie started, Armen and Ramona saw the lanterns Liya and her family lifted up.

“Wow,” Armen whispered. “That looks like our last time. We were sailing in the sea when the sea crab tourists lifted up the lanterns.”

“I know.” Ramona whispered.

And when they got to the part where Liya and Kai kiss, Armen and Ramona kissed. Shelly was shocked she covered her eyes with her claws.

After the movie was over, Armen, Ramona and Shelly went back to their homes.

“That was a great movie.” Ramona said.

“It is.” Armen said.
