[PEDRO]

It has been an incredible week in Chile, with her. My family is delighted with Alessa, and I am very grateful. As I read in the that last article about us, she has been the light that I needed, and she came right at my worst moment. I couldn't be better.

Since we had to go back to work, we decided to go somewhere else. Being in Chile has helped me disconnect from everything, but we need to get back to real life. Neither of us had to be in a specific place, so, after talking about it, we decided to travel to New York, my second home. Alessa has never been here, and she wanted to visit the city.

We've been here for a week, and she hasn't rested at all. She has only slept a few hours a day, focused on her projects.

We are staying at her house, which belonged to her grandmother, according to what she told me, the only one with whom she had a good relationship, and it seems that as a result of her death, her entire family moved away. crumbled.

It is a simple chalet, on one floor, with an outside garden, surrounded by other exactly the same chalets. It's not far from the center of Madrid, but it's far enough away that it's pretty quiet.

I get a message indicating that Oscar is waiting for me outside. I walk around the house to tell Alessa that I'm leaving, but I find her asleep on the couch, with the phone and computer on top of her. I close the laptop, and along with the phone, I leave it on the table. I carefully pick her up in her arms and carry her to bed trying not to make too much noise. He placed her on the mattress slowly and she settled herself. She is exhausted.

I spread the thin blanket at the foot of the bed to cover her. He caressed her soft cheek and placed a kiss on her forehead.

I close the bedroom door so as not to wake her, I take the keys that she left me and I leave the house. I walk to my friend's car.

"What's up man". I shake his hand.

"How are you Pedro?". He asks, putting the car in motion.

"Great and you?".

"On hollidays currently, you could find me a job brother, otherwise I'll be chasing you wherever you go". He jokes. "Alessa didn't want to come?".

I fasten my seatbelt. "Is sleeping now".

"It's eight in the afternoon". He says
surprised.

"She's been almost sleepless all week because of work".

He stops at a traffic light. "And that thing you wanted to tell me was so important?".

I look at him smiling with my head resting on the seat. "We are getting married".

"Congratulations!". Shakes my arm. "Damn how happy I am for you" He slaps my leg. "For real Pedro, I finally see you so healthy".

"And if you invite me to a few beers now I'll be even better". I play with the belt. "I wanted to see you precisely because of this, I need your help with the wedding thing".

We get out of the car and some people watch us, it's inevitable I guess. "Today we will be in the news".

"Lately I'm constantly on the cover of magazines, nothing new". I answer, amused. "It's too early to ask you, but do you want to be my godfather?".

He opens the door to the store for me. "Well, of course, if your brother doesn't want to be it, I'll be delighted, I don't want to fight with anyone".

We go in and take a seat at the bar. Luckily the bar is not very busy, and I don't plan to stay there for long either.

"My brother wants to be, but he doesn't want to be the one in charge of the rings".

We ordered a couple of bottles. "Well, count on me, when do you plan to have the wedding and where?".

"We don't know yet, Alessa wants to do it in Chile for me, because she won't have many guests, and so it will be more comfortable for my family, but there is nothing planned". I take a sip of the beer. "Two weeks ago I proposed to her, and we honestly haven't thought much about it".

"I imagine you must have been occupied in some more important things, I saw something on the news". He says, laughing, and I nudge him as a complaint. "You did it in the beach? Really?".

"And it hasn't been the weirdest place, if I told you every place you wouldn't believe me"

"I prefer to keep your face with the mentality of a loving child, don't ruin the moment for me". He puts an arm around my shoulders. "How much our lives have changed in a matter of a few years".

"I'm telling you, from being two broke people, to being the daddies of the world, and being in the best moment of life". I raise my bottle and he imitates my gesture. "For you Oscar".

"For you Pedro, and for all the good things that are to come". We toast.
