the silence home was awkward. matt and nick were pissed at chris. and chris didn't even know why?

"i feel like you guys are mad at me." chris mumbled against his hand that was covering his mouth, breaking the silence.

matt hit the wheel he was holding and scoffed, "of course, we are fucking mad, chris."

"but i didn't do anything!" holding his hands up in defence. "you don't even know what the fuck happened and you are-- actually both of you are assuming that i did something horrible to her!" chris yelled, letting most of his anger and anxiousness out.

"yeah, 'cause you didn't tell us anything about what happened!" nick yelled back.

chris shook his head and crossed his arms, "she looked bad." he mumbled, again as he was looking out of the mirror.

"now is really not the time to insult her, chris--"

"no, i mean she always looks bad, but today she looked even worse." chris looked at matt. "matt, i fucking hate her. she's annoying, dumb, ugly, mean, disgusting--"

"chris--"

"but i would never ever hit her or any other girl." he looked at both of his brothers. "i might hate her, but i'm not a monster."

matt sat back more, silence filling up the room.

"she bumped into me and i told her to look where she's going. she then grabbed my arm and squeezed it. before i could've said or do anything she started falling." chris said, quietly. "i couldn't do anything."

matt looked at nick through the mirror, who was sitting looking at chris. they both felt guilty that they accused- even thought that their brother could've done something like that.

"um," nick cleared his throat, "we're sorry."

chris was silent for a while, thinking if he should accept the apology or yell at them how couldn't they trust him, but a random bitch. "it's alright." he chose the first option.

on the other hand, autumn's parents rushed to her school as soon as they received a call from the principal that their daughter was unconscious.

but before her parents could've arrived to the school, "chris!" autumn had woken up. she quickly sat up, and breathing fast. "chris." she whispered. she looked around the room for anyone- anything. no one and nothing.
