"you did what?!" nick yelled, banging the table as his brother told him about the interaction he had with the girl.

"shhh!" chris tried to calm his brother down.

"so, let's take a step back. you, christopher owen sturniolo, helped autumn gracie norris?"

"i wouldn't say help, but whatever helps you sleep at night-" chris was shut by his brothers finger in front of his mouth.

"you laughed with her, you told jokes to her and told her she was pretty?" his brother interrupted him with the nonsense.

"i asked, how can i help!" chris looked at matt to confirm he wasn't going crazy. matt shrugged his shoulders.

"same thing." nick said, rolling his eyes and brushing through his hair with his fingers. "matt, what happened? how does your girl feel about it?" he asked, turning to matt and taking a bite about of his red apple.

"autumn said i can't talk about it." nick groaned and laid on the table like a child, "or that i cannot tell chris."

chris shook his head in disbelief. "ok, i'll tell you a sneak peek." matt finally said.

"sneak peek is crazy." nick scoffed.

"she's been really struggling and this sometimes happens. she gets a nightmare, where people yell at her and she just cries. i'm usually there to help her, i said that everytime this happens, she has to call me and she does." matt told, leaving everyone at the table speechless. yell at her, chris really wondered what were these people in her head screaming at her.

"why didn't she call you, yesterday?" chris asked.

"she said she started to cry, as soon as she woke up, and was scared that she'd wake you up and you'd yell at her. so, she just ran to the bathroom and she forgot her phone." he explained to his brothers.

chris nodded, looking at his bowl of white yogurt with strawberries in it. he had to admit, he felt bad, yet he outgrew that feeling with the dislike he still felt for her. "so, that's why she told me to speak?"

"yup,"

"because it calms her down?"

"yes, chris. i wasn't even there and i understood it." nick banged the table.

"did they burn the croissants? they're all black when i went to get one." everyone turned to the girl, autumn, who just appeared. "woah, what happened- did taylor swift die?" she gasped and put her hand in front of her mouth.
