autumn pushed 'call', putting her phone to her ear while she was sorting out the coffees. after three rings, he picked up. "hi, lan!"
"hi, a! you here?" lando answered,
"yeah, but i brought a friend. is that a problem?"
lando shook his head, after a few seconds of silence, he realized his sister couldn't see him. "oh, yeah, no, it's good. i was shaking my head, i didn't realize you couldn't see me." he heard the girl on the other side of the phone laugh.
"understood. can you now open the door? please?"
"oh fuck, yeah. sorry, kind of forgot about you." autumn scoffed, lando hung up and she turned to matt. "he's gonna be here in a sec." matt nodded,
they both turned as the front door opened. a smiling face peeked out of the little crack. "hi," lando said, opening the door fully and giving his younger sister a big hug.
as they pulled away, matt went to shake landos hand, lando made it easier and less awkward for both of them and hugged matt.
they pulled away and lando put his hands on matt shoulders. "i've heard a lot about you, matt."
matt eyes widened, "you know my name-- um, thanks, heard a lot of good stuff about you too." matt smiled.
they stared at each other for a while, autumn clapped her hands together, "okay, don't wanna ruin your lovely moment, but i'm freezing my imagery balls off."
"oh yeah, come in."
later, lando had long conversations with matt about how it was being a triplet and some questions about youtube. and autumn was complaining to her brother about chris and her incident at school.
"but next month were going on a trip to paris with school, so i hope that'll be okay." autumn said,
"really? were racing in monaco the same month." lando said. when matt met autumn and found out her brother was a formula one driver, he watched every single race that lando was in. even though matt knew, that lando knew matt existed, he always had a little heart attack when autumn mentioned lando talking about matt, or feeling like throwing up and passing out when lando talked directly to him.
secretly, matt always wanted to go to a grand prix and see those formula one cars in real life. "aw, i wish i could come." matt whispered under his breath.
