Just one step.
That's all she has to take.
In order to fix
All of her mistakes. With the rope around her neck,
The noose gripping so tight,
She knew this was her only way out
Because she could never get it right. While easing towards the edge,
She thought "too many wrong turns."
"A lot of fires started,"
And "countless people have been hurt."She only looked back on the bad.
Never on the good.
They said no one can change her mind
But there's one person that could. She knew he was the one,
Yet she refused to believe.
That they were perfect for each other.
They were meant to be.She wanted to say how she felt, but
She didn't want to be wrong again.
She thought it was best
If they just stayed friends. After she thought it through,
She was done putting up a fight.
So she gripped the rope
And pulled the noose real tight. All her loved ones filled the place
Except one that wasn't in sight.
Tears were running down her face
As she told them her final goodbye.she said "I love you" to the boy
As she kicked the chair out from her feet
No one moved as she dangled.
All you heard was the sound of them weep.Suddenly, there was a rush
In the crowd and in he came.
He thought he was on time,
But he was a little late.Rushing to her side,
The look on his face seemed so alarmed.
He started to cut the rope
Then she fell in his arms.As he stared
At the green eyed girl,
He cried; for he thought
He lost his whole world. Then just when it seemed all hope was gone,
He was caught by surprise
Because she started gasping for air
And opened her eyes.In that moment, there was no denying
That their feelings were true.
He wasn't holding back no more when he
Looked at her, and said "I love you too."3-28-13
