Last Moment

(Au explanation: In this au they all failed. At the end of s4 instead of them all escaping umber tor, zym couldn't make it in time and fell into Claudia's hands. He died from one of her experiments with dark magic. Zubeia died from not only the loss of her loved ones, but from the infected wound in s5. They all failed at stopping claudia from finding and freeing aaravos.)

The four sat ontop of the storm spire. 5 years ago today, in this very spot, they feared their future. Today was no different. Although this time they knew the dim truth.

This is it.

The end.

This would be there final moment together.

After tomorrow, they would have no future. They had failed. Aaravos would be set free. The whole world would be doomed by his hand. He would be after them. They didn't stand a chance. It was a fight they knew they were bound to lose.

The four stared up at the sky. The vast void of stars was a calming sight. It gave them comfort in a way. Truthfully it was ashame. Such a beautiful scenery. A beautiful moment, together. Perhaps in another life, things like that wouldn't end so fast.

"I'm glad I disobeyed Runaan that day" Rayla smiled. She held callum's hand as she thought about it. Callum let out a shaky laugh. "I'm glad you tried to kill us that day too". Ezran grinned, holding bait in his lap. He joked around looking at callum. He could recall his own words from that day "You mean because your with a girl?" They all broke out into fits of laughter at that. Bait glowed a bright orange. It didnt go unnoticed by them. For the very first time in history, he smiled. And they got to see it.

That was how the four spent there last night. Happy with eachother. When the sky began to change, they knew they had to say goodbye. Ezran had promised Opeli he would be back before morning. He still had to try and protect his people. Ezran stood up. This would be the last time they would ever see eachother. Alive atleast. His eyes teared up at the thought. He held bait in his hands who glowed a dark grey. Callum stood up and rushed to his brother, hugging him. Tears fell out of his eyes aswell. "Don't be sad ez" He continued, "We'll meet again in another life". Rayla joined the hug from behind. She couldn't hide the tears that were forming. They all pulled away. "I'm going to miss you dorks" Rayla confessed. Bait grumbled in response. "You too grumpy".

Before he left riding pyrah, ezran turned around. He gave a slight smile. Tears stained his face as he looked at Callum and Rayla. The last words he would ever say to them leaving his mouth "Thank you for teaching me what it's like to have real friends".

That afternoon, as they predicted aaravos was freed from his prison. He first struck the human kingdoms. After, he attacked the lands of Xadia. Nothing was able to stop him. Many kind souls died that day. The few who did survive were forced to obey. They were forced to be pawns under aaravos control.

Ezran died a great king protecting his people. His two crown guards soren and corvus died bravely fighting by his side. Bait died doing one last flash trick in an attempt to save his friends. As for Callum and Rayla, they both died in the fields of silvergrove. They died fighting, trying to protect the land together.

In another life....

The moments did last longer.

Everyone sat around the long squared table. Aaran Ehasz and Justin Richmond sat in the middle. They were all currently at wonderstorm. They were making a new show called the dragon prince. It was the first table read. Currently everyone was on episode two 'What is done'.

"Then it's a cycle. You hurt me, someone will get revenge against the elves. It won't end." Jack de Sena read, acting serious. "Callum" Sasha Rojen whispers "Psst callum".

"shh go away" Jack de Sena read, putting a finger infront of his lips looking up at Sasha. "I found something" Sasha Rojen read, acting out the part. Paula Burrows looked up at the two puzzled. "Are you talking to that painting?" She acted in charcter pointing to a random part of the room. Jack de Sena chuckled scratching his neck "Uh, why would I do that? 'Cause it's not a good time". Sasha Rojen tried her best to hold in her smile and act seriously, looking at the two "You mean, because you're with a girl?" At that everyone broke out of charcter and burst into laughter.

In another life...

Sasha Rojen stood outside of the wonderstorm headquarters. They all had just wrapped up the table read for season one. Even she was dragged into the storyline. She felt like she was apart of something amazing. With the energy they all had.. she knew. This new show was bound to become something great.

We were there...

She was about to walk off when she heard a strange noise. She quickly turned around, only to fawn at the sight. A couple feet away from her stood a light grey cat. They looked kind of funny in a way. They were licking their paws, a scowl on there face. They almost looked grumpy.

Together.
