PETER DIDN'T KNOW HOW IT, was so easy for harry to talk to girls. He was the complete opposite of that. No girls noticed him at all, he was a klutz, he always kept to himself, and more importantly he was nerdy looking. Sometimes he hated his looks, and other times he didn't mind it, but now, he was feeling overwhelmed by them. When he was going to approach Y/N, that would be the first thing she would see. He didn't want her to think he looked bad, even if he wanted her to like him for him. He just felt he had to change himself to her liking.

There she was, right there. Casually writing down in her notebook without a care in the world. And to think, he was apparently the Spiderman she worshipped. She didn't even bat an eye at him. It was almost like he was invisible. He just stood there, his hands clenched into fists, but nothing. Not even a glare came from her E/C eyes. It actually made him feel much more worse.

He even started wondering what would've happened if he just revealed who he was right then and there, but no. He had to get to know her before any of that. Who knows, maybe he would've even announced it at his wedding for everybody to hear.

Shaking off the bad feelings within himself, he pursed his lips and slowly began to walk towards the other teen that still didn't pay him any mind despite seeing his shadow from the corner of her eye. He continued walking until he stopped right infront of her, his eyes straining due to the sun being directly in his eyes. He thought about how he must've looked even more like an idiot.

After a few more seconds, the girl glanced up, her other hand moving over her face as she looked up. She thought he looked familiar, but she couldn't quite put a finger on who he was, so she just smiled up at him in confusion, unknowingly making his heart skip a beat, "Hey, can I help you?"

"Yes you can help me. I.. I mean, no. I mean.. Wait, yes... No! Ah.." he shut his mouth and allowed them to tremble while they kept making deep eye contact, her head tilting to the side while she let her mind wander, wondering who it was this man was. The whole thing was so awkward, Peter started praying that the sun would hit the both of them at the same time.

The silence eventually became too much for the E/C eyed girl because she raised an eyebrow, a hum leaving her through before she muttered a low yet quick, "What?"

Now Peter really didn't know what to say because he thought he looked like some weirdo creep that wouldn't leave her alone. He just parted his lips once again, but nothing came out. He then shut his mouth again, thinking of his friend Harry, thinking back on the advice he'd given him. That's when the words 'tell her what she wants to hear' came to his mind, causing him to sigh underneath his breath.

"I really like your eyes." Peter pointed out randomly, causing Y/N to give him a confused chuckle as she returned her head back to normal, wondering what she was supposed to say now.

Nodding her head awkwardly, the teen that sat down leaned against the bench finally decided to say something, the same hum as before erupting from her throat, causing the brunette that stood above her to blush, "Well, thank you. I didn't even know you could see them because of the shadow that's in my eyes."

Peter felt like stumbling over his words once again, but he kept replaying Harry's words in his mind, even though Y/N had a point. He was being honest, but in this context he looked like an idiot, "Your hair is pretty today... I.. I like it.."

"I'm sorry, there's just something telling me I know you, but I think I forgot where I know you from. Who are you again??" Y/N didn't mean to be rude, she was just genuinely confused with the brunette. She also didn't know that her words cut deep, really deep. He almost winced once he heard them, and it felt like his heart just bursted into a million meaty little pieces that were teared up by wolves and other vicious wild animals.

He shifted in his stance and didn't utter a single word before he huffed gently, trying to put it into words without sounding like some creep that watches her every second of the day, "I.. you.. don't really know me like that.. I just, umm.. wanted to speak to you today."

Y/N simply paused, giving him another awkward smile that only made the atmosphere almost humorous in her opinion. She did the same thing as before. She nodded her head up and down, acting as if she knew what he meant before giving him a low, "Ahhh, okay I get it."

"Yeah. I'm H-Harry's friend." He admitted to the woman, watching her hand remove itself away from her face before she chuckled loudly. It looked like she needed that laugh for some reason, even though Peter himself didn't think there was anything funny he said. He just stood awkwardly, blinking profusely at the way she sighed, calming herself down due to the loud laugh she had for herself.

Shaking her head at the nervous Peter, she just turned her head back down to her notebook and picked up the same pencil she had before, and started writing again, "Oh god bless your soul."

Peter just choked on his words and turned on his heel, his insides eating him alive. He was so embarrassed, he just hoped she didn't understand what he was trying to do to her because his flirting clearly didn't work at all.
