Whispers in the Rain
Tyler spent days at Isabela's Batangas villa, safe from the storm. The fireplace's flickering light illuminated his beautiful design and antique furniture.
Tyler's gaze wandered through the house, lost in thoughts of Isabela until it finally settled on a charming writing desk tucked away in a corner. Colorful ink bottles and papers adorned the surface, each piece embellished with her elegant calligraphy—a testament to her creativity.
Curiosity piqued, Tyler approached the desk, drawn in by the allure of her words. He picked up a piece of paper and studied it intently, intrigued. The sensual scene described in the draft stirred something within him, igniting his imagination.
"Damn! How does she create such scenes?" Tyler mused, a smirk creeping onto his lips. "Does she indulge in these fantasies herself?" The thought intensified his arousal.
Isabela entered and saw Tyler reading her work. Her eyes sparkled with mischief as she walked toward him. "Are you enjoying my writing, Mr. Sterling?" she asked teasingly.
Caught off guard, Tyler managed a shy smile. "I couldn't resist. Your words are... mesmerizing." He quickly added, "I didn't mean to intrude. I couldn't sleep and came down for a change of scenery."
Isabela tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, her expression softening. "I had trouble sleeping too," she admitted, glancing at him.
Tyler gestured toward the sofa. "How about sitting down?"
Looking a bit uncertain, Isabela moved to the sofa. The crackling of the fire broke the silence as they settled into the soft cushions.
After a few moments, Tyler finally spoke. "I'm sorry about what happened a few days ago. Even though we live together, I think you've been avoiding me. I realize now that I was wrong. I'm truly sorry, Isabela."
She met his gaze, shaking her head. "No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have held you like that; it might have given you the wrong idea. I'm sorry for leaving so abruptly." She glanced at him nervously. "It was my first kiss, and I wasn't sure how to react."
Tyler pondered her words, surprised but softening his expression with understanding. "I understand," he whispered. "It won't happen again."
Both lost in their thoughts, they enjoyed a cozy silence. Tyler's attraction to Isabela was evident, yet he was careful not to pressure her into anything she wasn't ready for.
Noticing Isabela shiver slightly, he stood up. "I'll get you an extra blanket," he said, heading to the nearby closet.
Watching him with a grateful smile, Isabela appreciated his kindness. Tyler returned with a warm blanket, which she wrapped around herself.
"Thank you," she said softly.
"You're welcome. By the way, are you a writer, Isabela?" he asked, meeting her gaze.
"Yes," she nodded, a smile flickering on her lips. "Come with me. I have something to show you."
Tyler immediately followed her into the cozy warmth of the house. She pointed to the desk with a broader smile. "This is where the magic happens. Being here alone with my pen and paper inspires me."
Tyler glanced at the scattered papers on the desk. "I see. Your writing feels like seduction in ink."
Isabela's cheeks flushed at his comment, and she looked away briefly before meeting his gaze again. "That's sort of how it is."
Standing close to the desk, the storm outside seemed to fade away as they shared a moment of connection.
"Isabela," Tyler said softly and earnestly, "I want to know everything about you—your writing, your dreams—everything."
