𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟐

Louis POV: Present day
It was the next day (Tuesday) and I was downstairs in my kitchen making a slice of toast when my mum comes in, she greets me and makes herself some tea. "Anne told me that your helped Harry yesterday...is that true?" She asks and I freeze what I'm doing "um yeah I was going toilet when I saw some kid pinning him to the locker and I just got the kid away" I say shrugging but he sees his mums smirk, I turns to her but she doesn't change her face. "What?" He asks "When will you start being friends with Harry again?" She asks and be sighs to himself "I won't I was just helping him" I say and she nods but narrows her eyes.

I get in my car and start driving to Eleanor's house, I sees her standing outside and has smiles brightly when she gets in the car. She leans over the middle and kisses me before breaking it so I can drive us to school. When we get to school we meet Zayn and Liam and go to the schools field since no one goes there, we'll we only went to the benches not all the way because it was too far and no one could be asked to walk there.

We sit down and Zayn pulls out a fag and so do i, Liam and Eleanor don't smoke fags but they smoke weed. The bell went and they all got up and slowly made their way to their classes when suddenly a announcement came through the speakers. "Louis Tomlinson to Mr Lynches office" and I groaned while Liam a who was next to me chuckled. I made my way to the office and tm went into mr Lynch's office, I entered and saw Luke and I knew what it was about. "Sit" he orders me and and I do so.

"Luke tells me that you had a little run in yesterday" Mr Lynch starts off "What did he say" I say smirking knowing the truth and that Luke wasn't telling the truth. "Apparently he had been walking and you decided to push him on the floor and grab hold of his collar and yell in his face" He says and i cackle in amusement "Wow really should I go get the poor kid you was pinning against a locker yesterday and get him to tell Mr Lynch what really happened?" I ask Luke who shrugs "No one will say anything because it's not true" Luke says simply "Sir may I find the student and bring him here?" I ask Mr Lynch who's watching us both. "You can bring him tomorrow louis and you can't pay a 3rd year to lie either" Mr Lynch says knowing I did it before "I swear I won't sir" and he nods and dismissed us both.

As we walk out I say "I know the kid and I know he'll tell for me so don't think for a second you'll get away with it" and he gulps "Sure you do" Luke says and turns the other way and walks off, I chuckle and hope that Harry will actually tell now.

Anyway at lunch we sit at our normal seats in the canteen and we just talk before I hear someone yelling from the hall. "What the fuck is that?" Liam asks "Should we check it out?" Zayn asks "I will hold on" I say and they all nod and I get up and leave. When I get there I see Harry pinned to a locker once again getting yelled at by Luke. I take a deep breath to try calm myself down but it doesn't work, I rip him off Harry and push him to the floor. I punch his twice before kicking him "I told you to stay away" I say and he quickly scrambles away.

"Cmon" I say to Harry nodding towards the bathroom, he follows looking scared but I couldn't blame him. I start to wash my hands from the tiny blood that was from Luke's nose off my hand and i ask "Why was he yelling at you?" "He didn't want me to tell Mr Lynch about yesterday" Harry tells me and I nod. "Where is your little friend when this always happens?" I ask "Usually getting food or in detention" he tells me and I now nod while drying my hands.

I lean against the wall silently while Harry watches the ground, he looks scared and I really wanna hug him. "Why are people so mean to me?" He asks and I look at him "I'm not sure" I say but he shakes his head "Yes you do" he spits out and I shake my head "I don't know, really I don't" I tell him and he sighs. Another minute of silence goes by and this time I'm first to speak "What did you mean always mean to you?" I ask and he looks up and we lock eyes. "Just after we stopped talking people started being mean and calling me things all the time, the only person that was nice to me was Niall and he still is" he tells me and I instantly feel guilty. "I'm sorry" I say sincerely "Whatever I'm going" he says and leaves me alone in the bathroom.

I make my way to the canteen and tell them that it was nothing, but I can't seem to keep my eyes off Harry who's at the other end of the cafeteria sitting with Niall. By the end of lunch I'm back in class when the announcement goes off again "Louis Tomlinson to Mr Lynch's office" I groan again and Zayn says "Twice in one day wow" I flip him off and leave to the office.

"Louis sit down please" Mr Lynch says and I do so slouching slightly so I'm comfortable "We've sent Luke home due to him having a fractured or broken nose any idea how that happened?" He asks and I shrug "No idea sir" I say and he looks at me with a raised eyebrow "Louis your 19 he could press charges and you could go to jail" he tells me "It's his fault he pinned that kid to the locker again telling him not to snitch on him!" I exclaim "Who is this kid to you because you seem attached slightly" he says leaning forward in his chair "No one but I'll bring him here tomorrow and he'll tell you everything" I say and he nods "We've told your mother as well" he tells me and I nod. I knew my mother would be annoyed but once she found out it was Harry she wouldn't be.

It was the end of the day and I had just dropped Eleanor home, I made my way to Anne's house which I haven't done voluntarily for years. I pulled into the driveway and and got out and knocked on the door, Anne opened it in surprise but quickly brought me into a hug. "Lou darling how nice of you to come by what's up?" She asks letting me in. "I need to talk to Harry about something" I say awkwardly and she looks shocked but nods "He's not home yet but feel free to wait around he'll be back any moment" she says and I nod and just follow her into the kitchen.

"How have you been?" I ask leaning against the counter "I've been good darling how have you been I only see you once I week now I feel like you grow up every time I see you" she says and I feel guilty "Yeah um I've been good, got a girlfriend of nearly 2 years if you didn't know" I say awkwardly and she smiles. "Of course I know dear me and your mum talk a lot you know even if your not around" she says once again making me feel guilty. "Thank you for helping Harry yesterday" she says "No problem" I say awkwardly and then the front door opens and Harry freezes when he sees me in the kitchen. "Um hello?" He says more sounding like a question.

"Hi baby good day at school?" Anne asks and Harry shrugs and looks at me again "What are you doing here?" He asks awkwardly "We need to talk" I say and he nods "cmon then" he says and nods for upstairs. I say goodbye to Anne before following Harry upstairs.

We pass the play room that we spent lots of time in, then we get to his room and he goes in and I follow. He flops down on his bed before sitting up looking at me "Talk" he says "I Need you to go to the principals office tomorrow and tell him what Luke did to you otherwise I could get charges pressed against me and get kicked out because he lied saying I did it for no reason" I tell him and Harry's eyes widen. "But why would he lie?" He asks after a moment of silence "I don't know but I think Mr Lynch might believe him, plus I can't say I didn't do it after possibly breaking his nose today" I tell him and he nods "I'll do it but only if your there" he says and I look up at him and he's already looking at me. "W-why?" I ask "Because I'll be nervous" he says shyly playing with the hem of his jumper "Yeah sure I'll be there" I tell him and he nods.

We stay in silence until I tell him that I need to go, I get to the door and he speaks up. "I want to know why" he says and I look at him confused "Why what?" I ask "Why after all this time of not talking to me and not really looking me you suddenly decide to act like you care" he says and I'm taken back by it. "I've always cared" I mumble "I just want to know why you protected me" he says and I stay silent before saying "I'll always protect you" and I leave.

I say bye to Anne and leave the house not looking back once.
