I'll try to make this quick but long. ig

The next day in the morning everyone but norman..was there..Ray and emma looked like they didn't even want to be there. After they finished eating they all went outside. It was a slight foggy cold day. Emma was standing near the tree where ray used to sit with norman and her. She looked up at the sky completely out of zone. 

Not far, don and gilda were drying the clothes with phil there. "Emma seems so sad..i've never seen her like this" Phil said concerned. "well..yeah the three of them used to be very close.." Don replied. "It's not just emma" Thoma said with lannion by his side. "Ray, too" Lannion said. Thoma continued, "He's been down in the slumps since ever..it's weird seeing those two like this". 

-later that night-

Don, gilda and emma were standing looking at ray who was sitting down. "What do you wanna talk about?" Ray said not looking at them. "We have to figure out a plan. We're gonna-" Don got cut of by ray, "forget it" They all looked at ray confused. "what do you mean ray" Emma asked concerned by her bestfriend's words. "I don't care anymore. Let's just die here" Ray said gaining the attention of the three as they looked at him shocked. "There's cliff's all around..there's no hope" Ray continued.  "More than that..i've had enough..I'm tired of it" Ray said his voice completely drained out. They all looked at him with a sad expression on their face. Something tells them that ray doesn't want to escape..even thought he said so..

Emma walked in front of ray and held out her palm showing the device ray made for the transmitters. "What about this then?" "don't want it, you can have it" Ray replied with no hesitation at all. "Run away if you want..but i'm done" Ray said finally looking up at emma and he apologized, "sorry, Emma".  Emma looked way too sad now. She then without any words just left. Don and gilda tried calling out to her but it was of no avail. 

Don looked back at ray, "Ray, you little..". "Don, Gilda, i'm sorry.." He apologized once more. 

The both looked at eachother then ray, They didn't know what else to say anymore. It was like everything they had ever done was of no use. 

-Time skippp-

It was now december..cold as day and even more cold as night. Everyone was playing outside. Don and Gilda were also playing outside when they saw emma sitting down in front of the tree. With a few kids around her, even phil. Phil had tears in his eyes, "emma.." He said hugging her.

meanwhile with ray,..let's just say..he was a total mess. "In the library on the upper floor. He was looking at a picture of emma and norman he took when he first got the camera. He slumped down even more. As isabella was watching him. 

Days passed like minutes..It was december 14..a day before ray's shipment. Ray was in the cafeteria/ dining hall..with a book in his hand. . He was looking into the space of abyss. After a while emma had entered the room. "Ray..what're you doinf here so late?" Emma asked getting a bit closer. "Saying my final goodbye's to this house i suppose" He said looking around the room. 

"Say..emma" - Ray

"I was thinking what to do in norman's memory.." -E

Emma paused for a bit and continued.

"Norman's sacrifice..there's no way it's going in hell..There's no way i'm giving up" - E

"What bout you" Emma asked. Ray smiled as he put the book away. "great minds think alike, huh?" 

They talked about all kinds of stuff which i'm lazy to type out but..

"I've kept mom's surveillance on me" Ema said surprising ray. "You let the others do the work?" "mhm" Emma replied. "So.." "We can escape whenever we want" Emma replied again. "Wait hold on...it ain't gonna be easy you know..Mama's surveillance is tough..also she sleeps in the same room as the toddlers..so it'll be hard to escape with everyone.

"And there's only one way out..the bridge near the HQ..There will probably be more monsters out there..and security will probably be tougher if word gets out that we escaped." Ray said, "How will you solve these problems, emma?".

Emma sat down quietly not dure. Ray looked at the table which had a box. "This is the best way' Ray said grabbing her attention. "I'll set the house alight tonight" Ray said grabbing a can of gasoline. "You're gonna start a fire?!" "Exactly.." Ray said pouring the gasoline on the floor. While mom's preoccupied with taking this out. Take everyone outside, under the name of evacuating." Ray said now looking at her.  "And if we block the door to the secret room she won't be able to report to the HQ so it won't be seen as escaping..instead as an evacuation." Ray said. Emma was looking at him processing everything. "oh and as a bonus..i've hidden ten Molotov cocktails in the forest's rocky area" Ray said not stopping and he continued, "Anyways..toss those on the neighboring plants while your on the way to the bridge." "At night the forest will be deserted. Let's do it tonight not tomorrow" Ray said holding out his hand to her.

"Let's escape now." He emphasized the word 'now'. Emma looked at him not sure what to do. "eh..wait is your leg still.." With that emma got up and put her crutched aside and stomped on the ground with her foot. "It's all better now! so we can escape now" Emma said.

Ray continued pouring the gasoline on the ground. "Also..tell don and gilda..the Molotov's." He got cut of. "Did you say to..toss..them to the neighbouring plants?" Emma asked and ray replied with a 'mhm'. "Something else been bothering me..sure, we can start a fire and all..but what if mom abandons the house?.What if she tries getting to us first?" Emma asked. 

"yeah, that's a possibility. Unless we do something that mom will be sure to put her attention on taking out the fire..then it might not be possible." Ray said, "But that won't be a problem." Ray said opening another can of gasoline. Emma flinched at his words. "What do you mean?" She asked. "If we just do this" Ray replied moving his hand up which has the gasoline pouring it all over him. "Ray!" Emma gasped, her eyes widening. "Isn't this perfect?..A perfect scorer set to be shipped out..ended up burning..There's no way she'll abandon me!" Ray exclaimed while emma was frozen in her place.

"How i've waited on this day..i've decided this a long time ago. Years and years ago!" - R

"Ray.." - E 

"For twelve years, they waited to dig in their feast that is me..But i'll take it away from then tonight..the day before the harvest"..They both stood silence until ray yelled out again, "Don't think you can eat me or feed me to anyone! Produce? Livestock? To hell with that! I'm a human!" "Screw you all!" Ray continued on and on. Emma didn't what to do to stop him. "ray.." Her voice came out as soft and couldn't really hear it.. "I used my siblings as stepping stones..They were all really sweet and great children..This is how it should be." Ray said..."Wait!-" "Don't move" Ray cut her off. "Emma, don't let my and norman's death be in vain" Ray replied once more. Emma looked at him horror.  'Here, take this" Ray tossed the book to her. Emma opened it up and saw the picture he took. "The picture you took?.." Emma whispered.

The clock hit 12..and ray lit up one of the matches. Emma looked at it with horror. "Now, i'm twelve years old..I wanna say my life sucked but the times i spent with you were really fun.." Ray was smiling at her while holding the match. "No! don't!" Emma reached out to him but stopped. "Thank you..Bye bye Emma.." He said and let go of the match.

Emma ran towards him..'please..ray!' She wanted to yell at him making sure he would never do that. But how did it turn out this way?..Was it really meant to be this way from the start?..their plan and efforts?..was is really all in vain?..Can she do nothing?! to save at least one of her bestfriends?..
