Said a man on a big monitor.
Asta and his cousin Yuuna Shigemura are shocked about what they are experiencing. The two, along with 10000 other people are trapped in a Virtual MMORPG named "Sword Art Online" developed by a person named Akihiko Kayaba. And that man on that monitor was Kayaba.
Asta: Kayaba!!!.....
Said Asta as he is furious about what he did.
But how did that happen?

In USA, the 5 year old Asta and his younger sister Ichika (who is 3 years old), lost their parents, Yami and Licita Shigemura.
Licita was american. Yami was Japanese.
After Yami and Licitas death, Yamis younger brother Tetsuhiro Shigemura came to USA and adopted Asta and Ichika, and Tetsuhiro brought the two in Japan.
Asta and Ichika met their cousin Yuuna who is 2 years older than them.
In school, Asta is bullied by his Ash-grey-blonde hair colour and also that he is half japanese. Due to the bullying and also the loss of his parents, Asta became violent and cold.
Also Asta is bad school. He is bad at Math, Japanese, Literature. He is only good at sports.
To do something against his short-temper, Yuuna decided to spend time with him and Ichika. Ichika was the first one to open up to her new family, only Asta remained.
Yuuna started playing music with Asta and with time Asta started to open up. One day they went to a park, Asta Yuuna and Ichika.
Yuuna: Come Asta, Ichika!
Ichika: Coming!
On their way, Asta accidentaly bumps into a girl.
Little girl: Oh! Sorry!
Asta looks at that girl. It's a brownish-orange-chestnut-haired girl with hazel eyes and she appears to be on the same age like Asta.
Asta: No worries.
Asta said. Due to Yuunas influence, Asta became calmer and less aggressive to people.
Asta: You are not hurt. Are you?
Little Girl: N-No! I'm okay!
She is a bit shy, and this annoys Asta a bit.
Then an old couple calls the name of that girl--
old man: Asuna! Come my dear!
old woman: Your parents are waiting for you!
Asuna: It's my grand parents!
Asuna looks at Asta--
Asuna: I need to go! See you later!
She said with a kind smile and that made Asta blush. Her gentle voice, her hair colour and eye colour reminds Asta a bit of Yuuna.
Asta watches how Asuna is walking with her grand parents.
Yuuna: Are you daydreaming?
Asta: Huh?
Asta looks at Yuuna.
Yuuna: You like that girl? *teasingly*
Asta: L-Lets go! *nervously*
Yuuna chuckles a bit. They continue walking until they reached the playing ground. There they see three kids are bullying a boy.
Bully 1: Whats up?
Bully 2: Are gonna go crying to your mommy?
Bully 3: But first! Your gonna give us your money!
Boy: But... I don't have money.
Bully 1: Too bad! Then we'll continue hurting you!
Yuuna: Hey!
The three bullies and that boy looks towards Yuunas direction.
Yuuna: Leave him alone!
Bully 1: Who are you?
Bully 2: Go away girl!
They throw sand towards Yuuna.
Ichika: Yuuna!
Asta: You... *angry*
Bully 1: Hey boys! Lets go give her some punishement!
Asta: YOU!!! COME HERE!!!
Asta, violently charges towards them and slams bully 1.
Asta: LEAVE MY COUSIN ALONE!!
Asta starts beating Bully 1, until his friends comes.
Bully 1: Let's teach him a lesson! Get him boys!
The three attacks him but Asta fights back. After 4 minutes of fighting--
Bully 3: Arrghh... He is too tough!
Bully 2: What should we do?
Bully 1: R-Retreat!
The three run away, leaving Asta with bruises.
Asta: Come here! I can still fight!
Ichika: Brother!
Yuuna: Asta!
Yuuna and Ichika runs towards Asta.
Yuuna: You okay?
Asta: Yeah... I'm okay...
???: Ehm...
The three turns around to look towards the boy who was bullied before by the three boys.
Boy: Thank you...
Asta looks at him. It's a black haired boy with short hair.
Asta: No problem.
Asta walks towards the boy and the boy is a bit scared.
Asta: You okay?
Boy: H-Huh?
Asta: I asked, if you are okay?
Boy: Yeah... I am...
Asta: ...Wanna play with us?
Boy: Huh?!
Asta: Wanna play with us? We are on a playing ground.
Boy: W-Well... Yeah...
Asta: My name is Asta. Asta Shigemura. What's yours?
The boy is a bit hesitant. But after some moments he says--
Boy: Kazuto... Kazuto Kirigaya
Said the boy.
Asta then smiles and says--
Asta: Okay, Kazuto. From today, we are friends!
Asta then raises his fist for a fist bump.
Kazuto: Friends...
Kazuto then smiles and he fist bumps with Asta. Since that day, Kazuto became friends with the Shigemuras.
