-GLADION POV-
Gladion sat in his room, zoning out as usual. He decided to stay at the mansion with his sister, Lillie and their parents for a little while after their father had returned. He was sitting on his bed while petting Umbreon as well. As he was in his deep thought, the door swung open, It was Lillie. " Geez ever heard of knocking?" the blond said with a tint of sarcasm in his voice. " Yes I have for your information, but I came here to tell you that Ash is coming back and staying at Prof. Kukui's" Lillie said to him. Gladions eyes widened slightly. " He is? damn..." They have been rivals for as long Gladion can remember. He had Lost to Ash more than twice, once during the pokemon league and once during the the pokemon tournament with Kiawe and Professor Kukui. " I was thinking you would want to have a battle with him" Lillie reassured him. "hmm, sure. After all I need to beat him to surpass him now do I? He is Champion after all" Lillie smiled at her brother, and he smiled back. " But first, would you give me his number?"

" It's so cool to see you again Gladion! It gets me so siked!!" Raved A raven haired boy, with a cap that consists of blue, red and white as colours, tan skin, big hazel brown eyes and he wore a blue and white patterned shirt with gray pants that reached to his calves and went by the name Ash Ketchum. " yeah I guess" Gladion Added. He remembered why he used to like Ash. He was so energetic and kind to others, and Gladion fancied that. However, when Ash told Gladion that he was interested in both Goh and Kiawe, he knew it was time to move on from the little crush. " So Gladion, how have you been?" Ash asked. " I've been fine, I've been training Lillie the Nihilego, and I've been catching up with father!" Gladion beamed with excitement. " hey Ash, you are now champion right? what do you plan on doing now?" Ash looked up with his hand on his chin. " Hmm I don't really know yet. But I do know for sure that I wanna explore more pokemon and chase my dream of becoming a pokemon master!" Gladion smiled in response. " So uh, did you find anyone? "

" yeah! Goh!" Ash said. " I'm surprised you understood what I ment" " Of course I do!"

Thats when they heard rustling behind the bushes. "what was that" Ash asked. "Hmm I don't know, but it might a dangerous pokemon. Umbreon, come out" Gladion released Umbreon from his Pokeball. " Umbreon, dark pulse, lets go!" Umbreon leaped up into the sky and shot the move into the rumbling of bushes. The rustling stopped. "huh?"

" Raichu! use Thunderbolt!" A voice came from the bushes. As the Raichu shot thunderbolt on them, Ash's Pikachu shot thunderbolt as well. " Thanks buddy!" Ash thanked Pikachu. " Pika Pika!" Gladion stood up. " whoever you are, show yourself!" Gladion yelled. The guy came out of the bushes to reveal themselves. "Jeez what's your probl--" The boy cut half through his sentence. Both Gladion and Ash were both in shock. The boy was dark skinned, sage green hair that was tied up in a pony tail, clips on his hair as well. Gray eyes which are filled with anger yet filled with happiness and he wore clothes that anybody would wear in the summer. Yellow shorts that reached his knees and an oversized shirt to which the sleeves reached his elbows and he was slightly bruised. " Hau!!!" Ash yelled. " So it was not a pokemon..." Gladion said. " Yeah, no kidding Gladion, do I look like a f...riggen pokemon to you?" Hau and Gladion met once during the pokemon league. After that, they haven't spoken ever since. " Friggen? really?" Gladion said unfazed. " oh my Arceus, leave me alone... hey, since we're here, Gladion I challenge you to a battle!" Hau said pointing his finger towards Gladion, there eyes met, one was filled with passion and the other was filled with a feeling they've never experienced before. " Hmm alright, challenge accepted"

They got into their position and brought out their pokemon. " Decidueye! Come on out!" Hau yelled. Right before Gladion could bring out lycanroc, Hau stopped him. " I wanna battle Silvally. So uh can you bring it out instead?" Hau said in a low voice. Gladion knew His Desiduye was underleveled, he still brought it out. " If you insist. Silvally!" A red spark came out of the pokeball and revealed his pokemon. " I be the ref then. Alright, this is a one on one battle between Hau and Gladion. The match ends when one pokemon on either side cannot continue to battle. Begin!" Ash announced.

Gladion attacked first. " Silvally, crush claw, now!" Silvally used the attack, while Desiduye flew upwards to dodge the attack. " Decidueye, Use razor leaf!" Silvally got hit by the attack but didn't faint.

Gladion sent a fire disk, which made him change his type to a fire type. And ended up one- shotting Desiduye. " Ah crap... You did well." Desiduye returned to his pokeball and he ran to Gladion. " Hey good match!" Gladion stared at him, making eye contact. He felt warmth spread through his body. "Uhh... So shall we eat something? " Ash chimes in. "Sure! "

They were sitting on a grass field munching on snacks that Ash had brought from Kanto and Galar. "So, Hau, how are you? " "I'm fine! I just finished my trials in Akala island with Olivia and in Ula ula with Nanu! And me and Decidueye have become stronger than before! " Hau beamed. " hey Ash, are you gonna join the Pokemon school again?" " yeah of course I'm gonna!" Ash gladly said. " why do you ask?"

" Gramps is telling me that I should go, plus, I think it would be fun getting to know your friends a bit better" Hau smiled and turned to Gladion. " what about you?" Gladion looked at him. " Hmm? Oh, I'm being forced by Lillie, so I guess.." Gladion huffed in response. " Haha Thats Lillie for you!" Ash said. Hau stared giggling, and Ash started giggling with him. However, Gladion couldn't seem to get his eyes off Hau.

Gladion entered class with Lillie. She greeted them with a simple ' Alola'.

" Alola!" The room filled with greetings. " Hey, Gladion is joining too?" Kiawe asked. " Mhmm!" Lillie replied. " Mostly forced me..." Gladion whisperd. After an Argument between Gladion, Ash and Kiawe of who is the strongest, Three people walked from the door. One of them being Hau and the other two who supposedly looked like siblings.
"Alolaa! I'm Selene, but you can call me Moon!" One of the Girl said. " And this is my brother, Elio, but usually goes by Sun. "

Gladion hated that. He hates when people called by nicknames, and he hates when people have a preferred nickname (unless they change their name to something else). He looked up to see the two human beings greeting one another. "How'd you meet Hau? " Mallow asks. "Well we kinda got lost and thankfully we saw Hau and asked him where the school was. So that's how we all ended up here!" Sun said enthusiastically. Gladions jaw clenched, his blood boiling, but he didn't know why and what was causing this. "Alola!" A voice caught him off guard. It was Moon. " Hello..." Gladion Greeted her. " I'm M--" " Your Selene, I know." Gladion cut her off. " Someones grumpy... Anyway, You're Gladion? Lillie's older brother?" Moon asked Gladion. Gladion nodded. Before he could say anything, a happy, malasada lover boy came running to him. " Heyyy Gladi, already making friends?" Hau asked. Gladion looked at him annoyed, he spoke to himself. "If he calls me that again, I swear I will demolish him into yesterday..." he muttered, Loudly. " Woah, what type of demolishment?" Moon asked with a smirk on her face. The sudden statement from  made both the men blush furiously. " Um, I'm gonna excuse my self to the restroom..." Gladion said while turning into a bright red. He ran to one of the stalls in the boys restroom and sank into his knees with deep embarrassment. He sat there for a while until someone opened the door. 

It was Hau.
