Back at the palace, Fiona was rather surprised to see that both Shrek and Seth weren't in the castle. After getting cleaned up and dressed, she made her way out to the courtyard, wondering where both Shrek and Seth were.

"They're both festive, aren't they?" Queen Lillian smiled, looking at the tapestries that were shown by the tailors. "What do you think, Harold?"

"Um... Yes, yes," King Harold replied as he was a bit distracted. "Fine. Fine."

Queen Lillian sighed, gesturing to the tailors to go ahead with them, and she followed after her husband. "Try to at least pretend you're interested in your daughter's wedding ball." She said to Harold.

"Honestly Lilian," said King Harold, "I don't think it matters. Who even says there's going to be a ball?"

"Mom, dad?"

Fiona walked down from the castle, as King Harold called to one of his servants.

"Mom, have you seen Shrek? Or Seth?" asked Fiona.

"No, I haven't," said Queen Lilian, "Ask your father. Be sure to use little words. He's having one of those mornings."

"Can I help you your majesty?" asked the servant.

King Harold took a taste of the dish before him, saying, "Mmmm, quite exquisite. What is this flavor?"

"That, would be the dog's dish," said the servant.

"Oh," said King Harold, "Um, right. Carry on Cedric."

"Dad, have you seen Shrek or Seth?" asked Fiona.

"No, I haven't, dear." King Harold replied, all the while walking along. "I'm sure Shrek just went off to look for a nice mud hole to cool down in and that Seth fellow must've went to keep him company. You know, after your little spat last night."

"Oh," said Fiona ashamed, "You heard that?"

"The whole kingdom heard you." King Harold told his daughter. "I mean, after all, it is in his nature to be, well, a bit of a brute.""You know, you didn't exactly roll out the Welcome Wagon." Fiona countered."Darling, I'm just thinking about what's best for you." King Harold replied. "Maybe you should do the same." With that, he walked away, leaving Fiona concerned for Shrek and Seth, but all the while with annoyed by what her father just said.

Elsewhere, Shrek, Seth, Red and Puss arrived at the cottage. The big eye-catcher was the huge factory behind it, which had towers spewing out multiple colours of smoke.

"Woah," said Seth, "That is beautiful with the colors, but disturbing with the smoke."

"That's the Fairy Godmother's cottage." Puss clarified. "She's the largest producer of hexes and potions in the whole kingdom."

"Well then, why don't we pop in for a spell?" joked Shrek. That made Puss laugh out loud like it was the best joke in the world.

"Okay, okay," said Seth, "It wasn't that good."

The quartet soon came inside and appeared to find an elf receptionist. They even saw two large portraits of the Godmother behind the table, the color of pink as well on the walls, Seth rolling his eyes in response to the light.

"Hello," said Shrek, "We're here to see-"

"Fairy Godmother," said the elf, "I'm sorry, but she isn't here. Make an appointment for-"

'Jerome!' Fairy Godmother's voice replied on an gramophone intercom. 'Coffee and a Monte Cristo. Now!'"Yes, Fairy Godmother, right away." The elf sighed with a forced smile before trying to turn away the others. "Look, she's not seeing any clients today, okay?"
