It was sunhigh, and the light slowly made its near the medicine cat den where cinderpelt creeped out of, "cinderpelt, what are you doing?" Brackenfur meowed. "Just getting basil, brother." She answered. Brackenfur glanced at her and laughed. "we have lots of basil, I bet you just want to see where we battled against shadowclan! Moonstar doesn't want us going there till the next gathering. If she finds out-" " She's not going to come on, can you cover me for your kin? "' whispered cinderpelt. "Fine." Cinderpelt thanked him, licked his ear, and padded to the gorse tunnel. Later, cinderpelt found great rock and started exploring, but all she found was a little bit of dried blood. "Hmm, I guess the rain got rid of the blood. She limped to where cat mint grew for thunderclan, but she gasped at what she saw... bloody paw prints leading to snakerocks! Shocked cinderpelt slowly and carefully limped to snakerocks with her eyes still opened wide from fear. When she got to snakerocks, there was a small den under the giant Boulder she slowly made her way in the den, remembering what happened to brightheart and swiftpaw here. Another one of tigerstars rouges coming to finish me off!" He hissed. "No, not at all like that! I'm cinderpelt from thunderclan, I'm a medicine cat I can heal you." She explained, giving a warm smile, but the black cat just growled at her. "Why would you help me, a cat who you don't even know." "It's my code. I must help any cat that is hurt or sick." she meowed. The cat stopped growling and just stared, "How do i know I can truly trust you?" He asked. Cinderpelt laughed, " You just have to, I guess. I'll get you some fresh kill, cobwebs, and herbs, and be right back!" And ran of. The black cat sighed, "I guess I have to." Then he put his head down to rest.
