With Swan now being the new leader of The Warriors, he was doing rather well so far, to say the least. Ajax hadn't stood up to him again and Swan had guided you all through a part of New York that all of you weren't fully familiar with. The signs were helpful and so were the directions for the station, but you had a feeling a meeting gangs along the way were gonna make this difficult for you.
"We've had it." Fox said as you all came to a stop. "Yeah, I made them. Two there, one there." Swan confirmed by pointing with his eyes. "One on top of Greeting Cards too." You rested yourself in between Swan and Fox as you spotted another person too. "I think they just made us." Fox mentioned. "Any of you two recognize them?" Swam asked. "Orphans. They're so far down, they ain't even on the map. The leader has a weird eye or a limp. Something like that." You responded and patted Swan's shoulder. "What about numbers?" Swan turned to you. "Thirty or forty?" Fox looked at you for a rough estimate. "That sounds about right." You agreed.
"That's a whole lot more than nine." Vermin took a gaze around. "Not if they're wimps and I'm sick of this running crap." Ajax also did the same and walked along as you all tried moving through their territory at a steady paste. "The last thing we want is a fight whilst we're outnumbered. Though, if we're cool with them, they'll be cool with us." You reassured Swan with a confident nod.
A few seconds later, that Orphan leader you spoke of had arrived. He clicked his fingers at a fellow gang member who went running around the block.
"You know where that cat's headed." Cowboy spoke for the first time in a while. "Yeah, reinforcements." Rembrandt replied. "We're gonna get japed here. We're gonna get japed!" Vermin gritted his teeth and clenched his fists.
"No matter what he says, nobody lip-off. Nobody get hot. I'm gonna see what I can do." Swan instructed and locked eyes with The Orphans leader. "Fucking diplomat." You joked and got a little chuckle from everyone. "I'm being serious, (Y-N). If what you say is true, keep that gun hidden. It's worth saving in a situation we can't control." Swan turned to you with his serious straight face.
"Fox come with me." Swan exhaled and invited Fox with him to speak with The Orphans.
Whilst Swan took Fox with him to have a little chatter with the opposite side, that left you unprotected from a certain someone who had a few questions lined up for you.
"So (Y-N), what's the deal with that guy you were teasing at The Bronx?" Ajax grinned at you as he pushed through some of his friends to get to you. "Who? Luther? He's a crazy ex." You answered since Ajax's question was harmless to start with.
"Ajax, don't get into this with her." Cowboy sighed. "What? I know everyone's backstory except hers. How do you expect me not to ask when she literally flashed every guy at The Bronx?" Ajax looked over to Cowboy with an impatient sigh.
"So if Luther is a Rouge and your ex, does that mean you were once a Rouge?" Ajax faced down to you again and put an arm around your shoulders. "Yep." You exhaled and kept your eyes on Swan now realising that Ajax was doing this to get a rise out of you.
"Ajax, leave her alone." Vermin put his hand on Ajax's shoulder pulling him away. "Get off. So is Swan your new boyfriend now or what?" Ajax changed the topic from Luther to Swan. "Why? You jealous because Swan can get laid and you can't?" You faced Ajax and lowered your eyes at him. "Well he ain't sharing you and you're loyal to him. The only issue is, there's no label, Sweetheart." Ajax explained to you that got him some disgusted looks from the other Warriors. "Just spit out what you're trying to say." You hurried the conversation up. "I'm saying, you do realize there isn't just Swanson you can fuck around with." Ajax snickered at you.
You didn't respond to Ajax's remark and kept your cool vocally. Instead, you tightened your fists and quickly swung your firsts into his groin. Not soft enough to give him no pain and not hard enough to cripple him to the ground, but just right so it made him kneel down and hang onto his groin from the shock.
"Just so you know, that's gonna be the only time I'll ever touch you down there." You snicked down on Ajax who was kneeling in front of you as he clenched his jaw from the shocking pain.
Everyone cracked up at your little jag and didn't reproach you for your actions. Ajax was purposely being a jerk because Swan wasn't there to protect you. It did get you thinking though. What was your relationship label with Swan? Swan took care of you and he always stood beside you, he was just so serious all the time and like a brick wall. In a way, Ajax did have a point, but you knew that he intended to get under your skin and hopefully under your pants one night.
Ever since you started sleeping with Swan, your feelings for him got stronger, but the feelings you had for him were never expressed. Simply, because Swan did the same thing. Neither of you were caught being affectionate in public; and the only times you were, was because someone would walk in on you two licking each other mouths with you grinding on his lap. It felt like you may as well be in a relationship with Swan, because of how loyal and close you are with each other, but at the same time, it felt like you were just fuck buddies. You haven't even said "I love you" to each other for heaven's sake.
"What's wrong with him?" Swan asked as he walked back over to where he left the rest of you. "(Y-N) hit him in the balls." Cochise cracked up. "Alright, let's go." Swan shrugged knowing that he probably deserved it. "That's it? We're just allowed to solider through their territory?" Snow asked with some concern in his voice. "If we make it quick and cause no fuzz, then sure." Fox confirmed. "What did I tell you? If you're cool with them, they'll be cool with you." You smiled with your arms out knowing you were right. "I dunno about this. Something doesn't feel right." Snow scratched his head at the back of the line. "If I've learnt anything from being on the streets it's that your mouth can be a better weapon than your fists." You commented and walked beside Swan. "She's right, we've just made an alliance for the first time in a few months. Now let's get to the station, it's this way." Swan backed you up since your tactic worked and got you all to the station unharmed.
You all arrived at the station safe and sound. The Orphans stuck to their word and it looked like Swan had earnt some more respect. Not just for his gang, but from The Orphans. Whatever Fox and Swan said worked and right now it was better to make allies than enemies. Rembrandt checked the map and the ride to the 96th Street Station wasn't too long. Your fingers were crossed that there were no more re-directions and that if you could hopefully talk your way out of threats for the rest of the night, you would do so.
