"M-Minnie, I can't b-believe you're m-moving tomorrow!" Casey sobs as she throws her arms around me in despair.
I flinch as she clings her acrylic nails upon my jacket and cries with her running mascara...my favorite jacket that my mom bought me a week ago.
Ca-sey, Get off! I shout as I push her off my Basic yet favorite Adidas Sweater.
"Haha, damn Min." Lexi said. "Casey was the one who cried non stop when you told us all you were moving a month from then. Don't you think that was a little.. I don't know..harsh?"

"Look, Lex. You already call me as my nick name, Minnie when I already told you I don't like to be called that. Now you've gone on ahead by abbreviating it as Min? As in Minute?" I said back to Lexi in a confused tone as I examined my Jacket for holes thanks to Casey.
"Min-bin." Lexi said in such a creepy voice I could've slapped her.
" Either way, your name would've been auto corrected to Minute regardless if it was your First name, or nick name. Don't blame me that your parents named you Minette and your nick name just happens to be Minnie; which basically is Min or Minute."
Sometimes, I wondered to myself why we were even friends to begin with. She's such a bitch, either I love her or hate her..And right about now, I hate her.
"ANYWAY," I say in a loud voice that startled Lexi and made Casey stop crying. "My flights tomorrow morning and I need to double check my room and make sure I don't forget anything Valuable. Let's head to my place, Casey suck up your tears and drive, please."
🌸🌸🌸
*sniff sniff* "alright." Casey said in such a weak tone as she blew her nose, and left her snot rag on the Starbucks table as the three of us head to her car.
I got in the backseat, just thinking about how I'll be gone for a year doing My Junior year of high school; which is my senior year in Korea.
...Out of all the places in the world, it was Seoul Korea.
"Minnieee." Lexi dragged my name as if she's been calling it forever. "Umm..we're here? You look very into your thoughts as if you're pulling a Drake on us right now." Lexi and Casey laughed as if they'd been saving that joke for year.
"we got here fast." I said as we all got out of Casey's cute Buggy into my house.
"Oh!" My mom exclaimed as if she saw something horrifying.
"Girls, I know it's devastating that you're guys's best friend is moving out of this country! Stay strong? Okay? You guys can come visit me everyday, okay?" The way my mom said that to Lexi and Casey as if I was on my dying bed or something.
She grabbed Casey's face as she knows she's the most sensitive one out of her and Lexi. Casey's eyes were filled with tears as if she was the one moving.
"Ugh." I sigh.
"Wait- Mrs. Yen, you're not going to Korea, either??" Lexi said in a state of confusion.
"Haha, well of course not. Minnie's father is the one who can speak Korean fluently, and has a step mom and step sister who are from Korea. They moved back recently, so Minnie and her father are the two who will be moving out their for a year or so to be living with them. My husbands business will be booming, while my daughter is to learn more Korean, and get a better education as well."
..I can't believe my mom is making me go to Korea instead of my little brother, Kai.

"Why isn't Kai going instead of Minnie?"
Casey said. "Kai's young and could adapt on the concept easier and faster, while Minnie could've finished her junior and senior year here.. why must she go..Mrs. Yen?"

Casey's expression was enough to make me pout, and be proud at the same time. Finally, someone said it. Someone other than me finally said it. More along the lines as asked it, but someone finally said it...Why me?

My mom just gave a concerned look at Casey and Lexi. She grabbed each one of their hands, and smiled. "Minnie will be fine, Minnie will be happy, and Minnie will come back with great stories to tell the both of you." she gave them a hug and went to help my dad with some more packing.
🌸🌸🌸
The three of us marched up to my room and plopped down on my bed without saying a word. It felt like the silence would've lasted forever if one of us didn't say anything.
... .... ...
"Guys, I'll miss you and you know I love you." I said in such a voice it sounded so fake.
"Yeah, yeah. We know, we know." Lexi said in a sarcastic way that made it hard to believe. But then again, I said I'll miss them and that sounded fake too. But we all got the concept.
" By the way, why is your bed still here..and your desk..and your dres-"
"Stop asking so many questions!" Lexi snapped as she interrupted Casey.
"Haha, it's okay, it's okay. " I said in such a cheerful laugh for some odd reason.
"I have new dressers and a bed, and all that other stuff waiting for me in Korea."

The two of them gasped as if it was the best new gossip they've heard in forever.
I looked at the time. And my digital clock was at 9:00pm.
*knock-knock*
My dad opened my door and Said "uh, hi young ladies... I know it's Friday and all, but Minnie needs to get up early so we can catch this flight.
I'm sorry girls, I know she's you're best friend, but-
"OKAY, dad. we got it. they're leaving soon, okay?"
He just had some smirk on his face as he left my used to be room and closed the door.
"We'll leave, Min." Casey said as she dug into her purse as fast as she could to get her car keys. Her hand was already on the door knob out my room as she called back " Come on, Lexi. I don't have all night."

Lexi and I slowly looked at each other and laughed. That was the best laugh I had in a while.
"Oh, right! "Lexi said in such an eager voice. "Text Ryan and tell him good bye before you go, okay? He's going to miss you, too you know."
I just nodded and hugged my two best friends good bye until my return.
They walked out of my room, and for the first time; that long goodbye felt eternal.

I lied down..looked at my ceiling which seemed to be for hours.

Got into my covers, and sighed.
"Goodbye America, and hello South Korea."
I reached over my dresser to turn off my light.
