Pouncestep was keeping her eye on Shadowsight since that night, and she started noticing changes in him. He was getting more distant and aggressive towards everyone, even their family and Puddleshine. When someone complained too much, Shadowsight would yell at them until Puddleshine pushed him away.
When Puncestep twisted her paw, she saw first hand how much Shadowsight had changed. He complained about her not seeing where she was going and how clumsy she was, down right being rude about it. Puddleshine was the one who had to treat her since Shadowsight chose not to.
She also heard Puddleshine complaining about how Shadowsight would tear all the herbs, making Puddleshine have to go out and collect more. But it was impossible since it was leaf-bare. She even heard both Puddleshine and Shadowsight yelling at each other as she passed the medicine cat den. All her clan mates were also getting unnerved by Shadowsight's change in behavior after he went unconscious that day. She also heard some of her clan mates say how they saw him out of camp sometimes, staring into nothing, either during the day or at night when they were guarding the entrance.
One day, while everyone was in the clearing eating prey, sharing tongues, or bathing in the sun, Shadowsight walked out of the medicine cat den looking upset. He stepped into the middle of the clearing, staring at Tigerstar as he talked to Dovewing and Cloverfoot. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at him. Tigerstar eventually looked his way with a confused, and unnerved expression on his face.
"Do you need something Shadowsight?"
"I need you to give up your role as Shadowclan's leader."
Everyone gasped in shock at what Shadowsight proposed.
"What!?"
"You heard what I said. Boltfang will make a better leader than you ."
"I will never give up my role as leader to some random rogue! I will not even allow rogues to rule on this land!"
"You might want to reconsider that."
"What are you saying. You'll never convince me to do that just because you're my son."
".....Are you sure?"
"What do you mean, there's no-"
Out of nowhere, cats come charging into the camp. Every one is caught off guard but quickly get up and fight back against the intruders.
