Willow sat at her desk, pencil in hand, and leg bouncing up and down as she stared at her test.
She had spent the past week studying for this test, and yet she still didn't understand a single question.
Tears formed in her eyes as she stared at the first question as if it would magically make sense. She reread it almost 13 times now, and the teacher even came to help her at one point, but he wasn't much help. Willow just pretended to understand when the teacher explained.
She glanced behind her at Forrest, who was already flipping to the next page of the packet.
"Miss Warburn, eyes on your own paper, please," the teacher said, making Willow whip her head back around to the front. This caught Forrest's attention, too, and he could immediately tell that the girl was stressed.
A few moments later, Forrest had finished his test, and the teacher's eyes were glued to the homework he was grading, and Forrest used it as an opportunity to communicate with Willow. He reached into his bag before taking out his notebook and ripping a page out. He quickly scribbled down the answers to each question and crumpled the page into a ball.
Forrest glanced up one more time to make sure the teacher still wasn't looking before chucking the paper. It hit exactly where he was aiming, which was the back of Willow's head. The boy quickly leaned back in his seat to avoid getting in trouble, and Willow turned, revealing her now-tear stained face to Forrest.
She looked up from the balled-up paper to her best friend and smiled at him. He grinned at the girl and slouched back into his chair.
Willow playfully rolled her eyes before turning back around and copying the answers.
hiii!
so, the test was the one that willow mentioned while visiting forrest's grave, (where she was like "you got an A, good thing i cheated off you") so props if you noticed :)
