As Seungmin and Jisung sat around the dining table in Jisung's cozy home, the air was filled with the aroma of freshly prepared Korean dishes.
The atmosphere was warm and lively, with the clinking of utensils and the sound of laughter filling the room.
Seungmin couldn't help but marvel at the familiar comfort of Jisung's family home, feeling grateful to be reunited with his friend and his welcoming family.
Amidst the cheerful banter and shared memories, Jisung's father, a jovial man with a mischievous twinkle in his eye, leaned forward with a playful grin.
"Seungmin-ah, I hope our Jisung wasn't too naughty while he was in LA. Didn't find himself a boyfriend, did he?" he teased, a hint of jest in his voice.
Instantly, Jisung's laughter faltered, and a cough escaped him, his eyes widening in alarm as he glanced at Seungmin, who shot him a quick, reassuring smile. Seungmin sensed Jisung's discomfort and knew he had to play along, despite the sudden twist in the conversation.
With a playful chuckle, Seungmin reached for his glass of water, masking the tension with ease. "Oh, you know Jisung, Mr. Han," he replied smoothly, his tone light-hearted. "Always too busy with his studies to even think about dating."
Jisung, grateful for Seungmin's quick wit, managed to regain his composure, though his cheeks were tinged with a faint blush. He shot a grateful glance at Seungmin, silently thanking him for deflecting the awkward moment.
The tension dissipated as Jisung's father laughed heartily, satisfied with Seungmin's response. "Well, that's a relief!" he exclaimed, a playful twinkle in his eye. "We can't have our Jisung distracted from his studies by romance just yet."
Jisung's mother chimed in, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Yes, and who needs a boyfriend when you have such a good friend like Seungmin here to keep you out of trouble?" she teased, casting a fond glance at the two young men.
Seungmin grinned, feeling the warmth of Jisung's family enveloping him like a cozy blanket. "Exactly, eomma Han," he replied, a playful gleam in his eye. "I'm like his personal guardian angel, keeping him on the straight and narrow."
The rest of the dinner passed in a blur of laughter and shared jokes, the awkward moment forgotten amidst the warmth of friendship and familial love.
As they savored the delicious Korean dishes prepared by Jisung's mother, Seungmin couldn't help but feel grateful for the bond he shared with Jisung and his wonderful family, knowing that moments like these were truly priceless.
After the delightful dinner, filled with laughter and good-natured teasing, the evening began to wind down. Jisung's parents exchanged knowing glances, silently communicating their decision.
"Seungmin-ah, honey why don't you stay over for the night?" Jisung's mother suggested with a warm smile. "It's been so long since you've been home, and it would be nice to catch up a bit more before you head off to Busan tomorrow."
