Running at full speed, Elara's main focus was to get to the school in time. Nothing else matters at the moment as her goal drives her forward to become the fastest runner like she's in a race.
But yeah it was a race.
A race with time as they call it.
To heck with her alarm clock that didn't work, now she is almost flying making passerbys give way and watch.
A few more.
Just as the school bell rung, she leaped and dropped to the school grounds, before the gates closed seconds behind her.
A smile tugged the corners of her lips as she jogged to the faculty office, meeting the other teachers going to their respective classes.
"Teacher Sano!"
And there it was.
She glanced over her shoulders to see the principal marching towards her.
Just great.
"Late again," he scolds, his piercing gaze making her tilt her head to the side grumbling internally.
"I am sorry principal," was what she could only say as she bows, hoping the principal would just end it with that.
"Being always late isn't a good model for students!"
Okay, probably not. This is gonna be a long earful.

"Geez, I was only late for like a minute and he talks like I am slacking in my work. Hmp, that grumpy old principal," Elara grumbles as she made her way to the classroom where her students were waiting.
Yup.
She has got the delinquent ones. The students who holds bad records and bad grades, only hanging by the thread.
It took a lot of patience, understanding and time to make the students trust and open up to her. Eventually, with her guidance, they took studying seriously and out came their competitive spirit for academic honors.
Was the school proud?
Oh yeah, definitely.
Opening the door of the classroom, she steps in with a smile.
"Good morning!" She greets and her dear students greets her back with such enthusiasm.
It's almost their midterm. So she sets time to review them instead of just going to new lessons and stuffing their brains with even more knowledge that is mostly hard for them to digest.
"Everyone present?"
"Everyone but one maam."
"Who?"
"Kurokawa Izana."
And her eyes narrowed at the name.

Going through the student's files, Elara sighs as she read the informations about her missing student that day. It's not just that day.
He has been absent the whole week.
With the exams around the corner, he would clearly flunk if he misses out more of his lessons.
Kurokawa Izana.
She had such a strange feeling about that boy the first time she met him during the first day of classes. He was queit and didn't make any friends despite the efforts of his classmates to befriend him.
