"So mum..." you wander quietly over to her as she washes the pots from dinner; she turns to you with a smile.
"Yes dear? Something wrong?"
Shaking your head you smile softly right back at her, grabbing a tea towel to help dry the pots, knowing Jungkook is sitting happily in the living room with your dad, chatting about some sport you weren't sure Jungkook even watches.
"Then what is it? You don't need to help me do these..."
"No I want too, but I, I also wanted to talk you about erm... so me and Jungkook we booked a hotel room for tomorrow night, and we wanted you and dad to come in the evening for food? If you'd like?" You hate yourself for stumbling over your own words.
Your mum smiles and stops her washing of the pots to lean on the sink and stare at you; "we'd love to; what was worrying you so much? Telling me about not staying here for more than one night?"
"No, I mean, yes... just..."
"I can see you're very much loved up together dear and I guess you'd want your own space, it makes sense" your mum giggles softly.
"Thanks, and we can't wait to have you join us for food too..."
Finishing off the dishes and chatting with your mum about everything and nothing is actually really nice; for once you feel like things are falling into place as they should be.
"You've got the look of love by the way..." your mum says quietly while you stare into the living room watching Jungkook laughing at something your dad is saying.
"There's such a thing?" You ask, blushing at the thought of being caught doing something you didn't know even existed.
"Of course there is! You may have never experienced it for yourself before but... I can see it, you look, different" you mum smiles softly as you blush.
"Okay, thanks mum..." you turn around trying to break your trance on Jungkook.
"Look, you and Jungkook go and... you know, show him round or..."
Quizzically you stare at your mum; "you trying to get rid of me?"
"No, it's getting late and I'm sure you want to spend a little time alone rather than with us oldies, though... same rules still apply..." she points a finger at you, giving you flashbacks to being a teenager and your mum and dad warning you about ever getting a boyfriend and that nothing would ever 'happen' under their roof.
"Oh gosh of course mum I would never, we would never..." you trip over your words, your cheeks now blood red with embarrassment.
You throw the tea towel at your mum with a shy giggle and twist around heading in the direction of Jungkook sitting on the sofa in the living room with your dad; "Kook?"
"Hmm?" His head spins immediately, his eyes searching for yours.
"Sorry, was I interrupting?"
"Don't be silly dear, we're only chatting about sports, nothing important" your dad smiles happily, giving Jungkook a manly tap on his back before heading in the kitchen to your mum.
"What's up baby?" Jungkook holds his hand out for you to take, before he pulls you towards him.
"Nothing, I just... mum kicked me out of the kitchen to spend time with you..." giggling, he smiles right back at you.
"She wants you to spend time with me?"
"Mmm..." you sit on his lap, twisting to face him; "she said, she could see the love between us..." you lean in and give him a chaste soft kiss on his lips and then jump up dragging him with you.
