Shu Ning was sweating profusely as he raised the hammer in his hand and let it drop onto the metal with a loud 'clang'. He had been doing the same movement over and over again only interrupted it when he had  to dunk the chunk of mineral into a tub of water and then reheat it again.

It's been a week already since he had entered 'adventurers battle' and most of that time was used raising his stats to an appropriat level. Thanks to his system's training space a lot of the monsters he had to fight were easy to deal with and those that weren't, he could just avoid as of yet. The rest of the time that wasn't spend in the real world eating and sleeping, he furthered his skills in blacksmithing like he was doing just now.

His master was an NPC that had accepted Shu Ning as an apprentice and after days of learning and gathering materials for the other, he was finally allowed to create his very first weapon on his own. A black blade with a grayish handle and red stones imbedded into it.

As Shu Ning straightened his body to survey his work a bell started ringing from ouside. He left the shop to see what was going on and noticed a large red screen pop up in the sky. He wasn't the only player that had gathered on the street to read the notice and so the place was getting a bit crowded as they all read what the game wanted to tell them.

Special mission: get ahold of the aquamarine inside of the spiky mountains. Time Limit: 6 hours

Shu Ning followed the others as they gathered in front of the town's gate. They were all excitedly talking amongst each other and forming groups in preparation for this mission. Some people immediately stormed off to be the first to find the aquamarine while others awkwardly stood there, hoping to find out more information from the others. One of these people was a young female, dressed in a short black skirt and blood red tanktop. A dagger was tied to one of her long legs and a short sword peaked out from behind her. Her silver-white hair fell loosely around her shoulders  and a friendly smile crincled the corners of her eyes. The boy next to her seemed to have said something funny as she threw back her head and laughed, only stopping when she noticed the gazes of other players on her. With a sheepish smile she scooted closer to her companion.

Shu Ning watched as the two of them turned around and dissapeared into the forest, following quietly behind as they made their way towards the spiky mountains. Huge rocks littered the path they were taking and from time to time they had to climb up a steep slope. The girl cursed as she slipped on a loose stone and almost tumbled right back down again, but her friend grabbed ahold of her waist and pulled her up on the boulder.

It was getting harder to make their way up the mountains and it was only somehow managable because there were no monsters suddenly jumping at them from the shadows. Shu Ning believed that that had something to do with the huge numbers of players tracking this path, scaring away any daring creature from attacking. He was still out of breath though as the trail evened out at last and vanished in a black hole that opened up the mountains insides for them.

Shu Ning entered the cave behind the other players and felt a shiver run down his spine. It felt like hundreds of eyes were watching their every move from the dark. The female player from before conjured a small flame in the palm of her hand to illuminate the walls of the den and other people followed her lead. This made it a bit easier for him to look around and notice the horde of Hiragons hanging from the ceiling.
