Hi I'm Carrie, Carrie Steveson. I'm a school girl and literally I'm on my middle school. I'm popular, for both girls and boys. Girls usually gossip about my attitude, particularly on how I act around boys which they think flirting. Yeah flirting, and boys talk good things about me which I find so natural yet I hate it that much. Boys, they are noisy, arrogant, some are pervert aliens and troublesome yet I have my only exception. Girls around hates the hell of me except for the thing called bestfriend, I have a bestfriend and she is Bridget.... Bridget Johnfield. Bridget and I are childhood friends. We're in the same class and I'm so glad that I have her, to comfort and protect me from being bullied by those mean girls. I could never ask for more. She's enough.
One wet day, I'm on my way home but the rain started to pour so sudden so I have to find some shelter to stop to. I finally found a shed and stayed their for a little while, waiting for the rain to shut. For a couple of time I notice a guy, he's not that tall and he's heading towards the shed I was staying. As he's getting nearer I pity him, he's all wet. It was Blake.. Blake Simon. I know him because he's the exception I'm talking about. He's too different from the other guys. I like him seriously yet I choose to play cool around and act like I don't know him. It took us hours staying on the shed, I just noticed that he has a couple of hazel eyes, rossy cheeks and his hair was thrown backwards like cool guys on television. I was staring, he's hypnotic and I'm hypnotized. I guess he noticed me staring at him because I saw him smiling at me. Ghosh! I'm so shy, I'm a shy type and I can feel that I was blushing like a rotten tomato. Lol.
We're in the same school and his class was only next to mine. I often see him, he's quite popular with girls but on the second thought he's not interested. I'm not a stalker okay it just happened to know him so basic. And to break the awkward silence, the silence where I can sense the strong intensity of nothing. I held my hand unto him and introduced myself.
"Hi I'm Carrie.. Carrie Steveson, and you are...?"Sucks! I already had the guts.
Surprisingly, he extended his hand to catch mine and response.
"Umm..um. I'm Blake, Blake Simon. Nice to meet you anyway", he said.
while were shaking hands"Nice to meet you too. So.. how are you doing?"
"I'm good.. I'm good. Thanks anywway." he said.
After that very moment raindrops are all I heard that dripdrops around. Since the rain hasn't stopped so we need to stay at the shed for quite some time. I was looking around the shed, when a poster suddenly popped into my vision. It's a poster of a newly opened donut shop just across our school campus. To cut the shivering silence I must do something. Yet I find myself poking his face twice like I've known him for years, were close like so close. Just a few inches away and boom clap. Lol.
As I've poked him, I was already pointing to the poster.
"Umm. There's a newly opened donut shop just right across our campus. Mind going there with me tomorrow after classes?"Geez! Don't decline. I hate rejections. Pleaseeee.
"Um. ah-.."
He's blushing.
"- Umm. Alright then." he said.
"Okay. Meet me at the front gate at 5 o'clock since we have same schedule. Be there."
While I was throwing a wave of a hand as a sign of goodbye.
Blake's POV
I don't like girls in the first place. They are just a pain yet I have an exception. She's Carrie Steveson, she's popular, she's nice and graceful. I like her because she's way too different from the girls around. By the way I'm Blake..Blake Simon.
I hate how girls treat me so differently. Way too different. After classes I hurriedly gone home but suddenly the rain has poured.. so hard and I was convinced to find some shed to stay on while the rain's ongoing. I was looking around the street I was walking and saw a shed nearby. While I was heading I notice that there's someone in the shed. A girl.. it's a girl and as I was getting closer I can see the face clearly. It's Carrie, Carrie Steveson. She's the exception. I like her for such reasons. I sat down at the opposite corner of her and pretended like I don't know a thing about her. She's in the class just right next to mine. She's popular okay, I often hear guys talking about her. I know that lots of girls envy her for she's too nice, cute and smart. She has a friend or should I say her beastfriend that indeed got her back.
She's not talking. I was secretly taking a glimpse of her. I like the way she pinned her bangs and I noticed that she has a long and well-curved eyelashes which made her so adorable. Not even a manly word. Ew lol
I guess she's trying to break the gap between the two if us but I guess she's too shy.Later on she finally said it. She held her hand unto mine and introduced herself. I reached out for it and did the same thing. We talk and talk and talk (pardon me), not until the second silence enwrapped except for the raindrops.
She's now again about to break the silence and poked my cheek and pointed out to the poster. I had no idea what she's trying to say but the moment she opened her mouth I felt like I was thrown up high. I was shocked, she's asking me to go to the newly opened donut shop across our campus with her. I hurriedly accepted it. No declines, no doubts for it was her.
After I gave my response I saw her face, she's blushing. No way. lolShe's now waving goodbye as she ran away from the shed since the rain has calmed down.
Her words had grave a smile on my face. I'm so glad I get to talk to her alone.
