(NARRATOR) Weeks later, Wan Yahya and Mahora have a beautiful wedding, surrounded by loved ones. Though saddened by the separation from Mahsuri, Mahora finds living with Wan Yahya to be everything she hoped for. Currently, Wan Yahya takes a break from his silat training in the backyard, wiping his dagger with an old rag, as Mahora enters with a tray of drinks.
Mahora : Something on your mind? Care to share them?
Wan Yahya : And if I say you're the one who's in my mind?
Mahora : (blushes) Don't be silly...
Wan Yahya : It's true though... I consider how fortunate I am to have you as my wife. I suppose I have spent all of my life's fortune on you.
Mahora : You're exaggerating! I don't think I am worth as much.
Wan Yahya : (laughs)
Mahora : My dear, I feel like the happiest person to ever exist on Earth right now. I don't want to lose this, ever.
Wan Yahya : You won't lose me, Mahora. I'm not going to let you leave me either.
Mahora : Say, if you are summoned again to fight in the war, would it be selfish if a part of me does not want you to go?
Wan Yahya : I assure you; you won't lose me like that, wars are my special forte. However, if you insist, Derus will take my place.
Mahora : (snorts) Thank you for always considering my feelings.
Wan Yahya : (pouts) I'm being serious, people can even call me a war master!
Mahora : (laughs) Sure! Please have it all, Mr. Master of War.
(NARRATOR) Their laughter is abruptly halted by approaching footsteps, revealing Deramang and three bodyguards.
Deramang : Good day, newlyweds. While it's nice to see you both having a great time, I have to deliver important matter that comes from the border.
Wan Yahya : Please do tell, Deramang.
Deramang : I received word from our forces stationed near the Siam border that the soldiers had made a move. We must plan ahead of time.
Both Wan Yahya and Mahora widen their eyes in surprise, though he is a second earlier to brush it off to an amused expression. The couple looks at each other and the corner of his lips tugged upward for a grin.
Wan Yahya : Did you just jinx this?
Mahora : Dear, what if-
Wan Yahya : Mahora, (stands) remember what I told you a moment ago? You will not lose me like that. Do me a favour by keeping that in mind, yeah?
Mahora : (tucks on Yahya's shirt) Remember your promise, dear.
Wan Yahya : Alright, dear. Deramang, please inform Derus he will be replacing me on this war and tell him to take care of himself.
Deramang : Will do, Your Majesty. (bows slightly)
Mahora : But, then, Mahsuri will be lonely.
Wan Yahya : Don't worry, love. To put your mind on ease, let's invite her to stay in the castle with us. She can stay at the west wing.
Mahora : Thanks a lot, dear.
Wan Yahya : (nods) Guards, assist Mahsuri here.
Bodyguards : Commands received!
(NARRATOR) Without wasting any time, Deramang and the bodyguards leave the castle to do their assigned job, leaving Mahora and the Sultan's alone in the backyard of the castle.
