Chapter 8: Trip Into Hell

We open this chapter with Kotal at a table with Lukada, Ermac, Reptile who all look slightly beaten up 

Kotal: D'Vorah? And the Earthrealmers? 

Lukada: She stole the amulet, But we doubt they helped that she helped them escape 

Kotal looks to Lukada confused 

Lukada: like I have told the others I highly doubt She freed them, she hates Earthrealm with a passion, most likely they stole the Amulet for their own species' sake

Reptile: She betray's us still, but to who we don't know

Kotal: *Looks thoughtfully into the distance* you wound me, D'vorah *Looks to Reptile and Lukada* Reptile, Lukada go to her home and find as much information as you can 

Lukada: *He and Reptile salutes* it will be done my Kahn  

The pair leave as Ermac notices the change in demeaner for his Kahn

Ermac: What troubles you, Kotal? 

Kotal: I have made a terrible decision in capturing the Earthrealmers  

Ermac: as may it be what will you do now that they have escaped and are inevitably going to return to Earthrealm 

 Kotal: *Thinks for a moment* We must prepare counter measures for the arrival of The Thunder God and The Elemental and hope that we can return to a sort of peace, Ermac.   

Ermac: and what of D'Vora and the Amulet?

Kotal: We must find who she has betrayed me too and end them before they bring rise to a greater threat 

Ermac nods to him as we cut to Kombat kids reporting to their superiors 

Takeda: We're all in one piece. 

Kaito: And from what we can tell no one is tailing us. 

Kenshi(Com): Have you been able to determine where D'Vorah was heading 

Kaito: She has gone across the Sea of Blood 

Jax(Com): Damn.

Jacqui and Cassie both perk up hearing the Damn immediately recognising it 

Jacqui: Dad?

Jax(Com): She's comin' here. to Quan Chi. There's a secret portal near the Sea of Blood. Quan Chi had it built when we were gettin' ready to invade Outworld. 

Cassie: Great

Jacqui: Dad, what are you doing? Why are you in the Netherrealm? 

We cut to the other side of this conversation in the Netherrealm with Jax, Kenshi and a slightly agrevated Y/n walking with the com while SF soliders rush around behind them

Jax: Well now who's being overprotective? 

Jacqui(com): I know you think you have things to make up for, but-- 

Jax: I'm doing this for Sonya and Y/n. Their Family. 

Jacqui(Com): That's why I'm worried. 

Jax: I'll be fine. You stay safe, y'hear? 

Jacqui(Com): You stay safe too. I love you. Briggs out. 

Jax: Briggs out. 

The com cuts off 

Kenshi: Felling better or worse

Jax: *looks to Y/n* Much better then him

Y/n: I can use my anger against the ones who deserve it but- Aghh
