It was 2 in the morning, I heard a crash downstairs, and following came creaking sounds. I squinted my hazel-brown eyes when I turned on the lights, my dark room immediately being filled with light, the fantasy books on my shelves glistened mysteriously.

I slipped out of bed in my pajamas, put on a pair of slippers and swiftly tied my  long brown hair into a high ponytail. I opened the door to the hallway, it creaked slightly and my face squished together due to the exposure to the bright light that filled the long hallway. I quickly stepped into the hallway and tip-toed my way down the many stairs, the spiral staircase was far too long to tip-toe down so halfway I decided that it would be easier to walk quietly.

When I had made my way down to the bottom floor, I could hear scrambling sounds in the kitchen, I walked over there sneaking up on the tall dark figure, the person was wearing a long dark coat, and their face was covered by the shadows, you could see some of their jewels glistening menacingly meanwhilst some of their long pale blonde hair was sticking out underneath the cloak. The closer I got, the more obvious it became that there were multiple people and not just one person.

Behind the tall dark figure there was a short glowing, what seemed to be a fairy, person standing. It had very short brown hair and was wearing a lavender dress, with beautiful flowers of all colors. Said dark figure and the glowing "fairy" were seemingly discussing something fairly important, since they were being very hush-hush about it. I hid behind a wall stalking the people in my home, even though they were clearly the stalkers since they were the ones who broke into my home.

I could see two more figures behind the others, two guys I thought, one of them murmuring and being very seemingly unhappy, the other one practically glowing in pure excitement, they looked almost opposite of eachother, the negative one was wearing black, dark purple and a dark red, the other was wearing white, light yellow and light green. The negative guy was wearing oversized black cargo pants with a reddish belt, a sweater with black and dark purple stripes, he was wearing loads of silver jewelry. The positive guy on the other hand, was wearing a skin-tight white shirt, light green button-down (that was buttoned all the way down), and white cargo pants with a light yellow belt, and he was wearing loads of gold jewelry. Mr. Negative had black hair, black eyes, and Mr. Positive had hair that was incredibly light blue, practically white, with light blue eyes. Mr. Negative had a mid-toned dark skin, whilst Mr. Positive had olive-skin. I tried taking a step forward to get a better look but accidentally made a floorboard creak. All the figures looked at me for a split second before they pulled out a flask with a strange liquid. When all of them had drunk the liquid they disappeared.
After they disappeared I stared. On the marble island in the kitchen sat  a flask with a black looking liquid, that reminded me of Venom, was there. I picked up the flask, took a quick look around the room to make sure my "mother" wasn't there, thank god she wasn't, she was probably passed out drunk in some random dudes house, she tended to do that more and more often, since every time she went home, they would argue about anything and everything. They were nothing alike, not in their personalities, and not in how they looked. The only thing they had in common was the fact that they lived in the same house, which was more than enough for me to know. She was after all only my stepmother, NOT my biological one, if so, I would rather disappear into another dimension..

I switched my full focus back to the mysterious, and quite frankly disgusting, liquid in front of me. Attached to the bottle was a note that said.. "Drink me!", yeah.. definitely trustworthy.. Why not do just that? I stared at it for a bit before deciding, fuck it, I have nothing to lose anyway, maybe it'll be for the better, maybe ill even get to see the afterlife, then atleast i'd be certain on one thing. I popped off the lid and took a sip of the liquid.

Immediately everything started spinning, the world, my brain, my feelings, probably also my eyes. everything went into one spiral until the spiral stopped spinning.. it sat there menacingly for a few seconds before, within (literally) a jiffy, turning into this long oval, almost portal looking thing? It was also pitch-black, just like the liquid I had previously drunk, but it was moving, it looked.. almost.. alive? It made me want to throw the liquid back up. It was squirming at an alarming rate, slowly swallowing up the whole space they were in. I could feel it creep up my own arms, and into my downturned eyes, almost popping them out of my skull. It tickled, in a strange, super creepy, dysfunctional way. I laughed, and it sounded strange in this empty void. It didn't echo. Instead it seemed that the sound kept going throughout the whole void, her voice eventually being swallowed up by the darkness, or something else? I couldn't see, so I was attempting to rely on my other senses to guide me out of this mess I had gotten myself into. I took a deep breath, accidentally swallowing some of the black liquid, which made me start coughing, and I accidentally might've taken a step forward, and I may or may not have fallen.
