❝ 𝕭ABE-! ❞ The brown-haired girl was called from all directions in the school corridor. She had left the stage before Julie, after the two revealed that the boy band were actually holograms, leaving Julie to rejoin the music class and leaving Babe alone with Flynn.

Now a circle formed in front of the brown-haired girl, everyone talking at once, so Babe couldn't understand anything. She just nodded a few times and smiled.

Fortunately, she noticed her best friend getting closer. »Sorry,« she said loudly, pulling Babe away from the others. »Thanks,« smiled the brown-haired girl. »Sure,« nodded Sarah. Both stopped in front of the blonde's locker.

»And now you can tell me who those cute guys were,« Babe sighed, leaning against the locker next to Sarah's. »Julie's guys,« she lied. »Ah, Julie's guys?« Babe nodded softly. »Oh, really?« Sarah looked at her.

»I don't like it when you lie to me.« »Me neither.«, Sarah raised an eyebrow. »Really! And I'll tell you the truth, but not now,« the blonde sighed. »Until then, I'll be quiet,« Babe smiled. »Thanks.«

»Thank me later, because Nate is approaching,'«Babe looked in the direction her friend was looking. Sarah said the truth. She sighed. Now she saw Julie approaching too. »Too bad, but there's Julie,« she looked at her friend. »See you later,« she said goodbye to her and gave Nate only a fleeting smile as she moved towards Julie, who was talking with Carrie and Nick.

Probably not friendly. »Another winner,« Carrie was about to turn and walk away when she saw Babe behind the three, listening. »Problem?« Babe asked. »No,« Carrie shook her head. »You were great,« she smiled and walked away. Babe looked at Nick the same way he looked at her as he also moved in the direction of Carrie.

»Hey, Jul's,« she smiled, ignoring what just happened and walked alongside her. »Hey,« she nodded slightly. »Have you seen Flynn?« she asked gently. Babe shook her head. »No, I thought she was with you, wasn't she?«

»She was, but then she wanted to know who the guys were, and I had to lie.«, »And then she didn't believe it?« Julie nodded. »Yes, that's how it was with Sarah too. Keeping it from your best friend sucks,« Julie smiled in agreement.

The two just turned into another part of the corridor while everyone else disappeared into their classes. Babe and Julie now had science and should have been there long ago. And now they were late, as three familiar ghosts startled them.

All three shouted »Boo!« while Luke stood on the thighs of his bandmates and found support on their shoulders. »Whoa,« Babe said, while Julie complained. »You! Stop doing that!« Luke jumped down.

»It's your fault. We were here first,« Reggie grinned. »Well, yeah, first we were in the afterlife, then we were here-«, Luke ignored his friend. »Are we not gonna talk about what happened?« Luke exclaimed.

»Yeah, the whole school saw you. It's kinda freaking me out,« Julie said. Alex jumped up. »Okay, good, 'cause it's kind of freaking me out too. You could see us, and people could see us whenever we play music. And my clothes are made of air, but for some reason, I'm still getting a wedgie,« he sighed.

Everyone looked at him disgusted. »So many questions,« he whispered. Babe smiled slightly. »Yeah, but it was still kinda exciting,« Luke looked at her and smiled too. »Kinda? It was damn exciting. We rocked that place! They were loving you!« he said to the two girls. »They were loving us! Because of your song, Luke!«, the brown-haired girl grinned.

»Thanks for that,« she said gently. Luke looked at her with a smile and nodded. »And did you guys see the cheerleaders looking at me?« Reggie exclaimed excitedly. »I think they were looking at me... Please tell me they were!«, he shook Luke.

The boy took Reggie's head and looked at him. »Bro, they were looking at you.« Reggie jumped up. »Oh, I knew it!« Babe grinned meanwhile. »I'm so confused, you know?« Babe looked at Alex. »The afterlife doesn't come with instructions or a quick start guide or something,« Julie replied.

»Well, the good thing is that everyone thought you guys were holograms, and I got back into the program.« Although those were fantastic news, Julie didn't look so happy.

Babe knew why. »Why do you look bummed?« Reggie grinned. »Sweet. Girls are already talking about us,« Babe sighed. »She's serious, guys.«, Julie was grateful to the girl. »I can't tell her about you guys for the same reason I can't tell my dad,« Babe explained for Julie.

»She'll think you've gone off the deep end,« nodded the brown-haired girl. »That sucks, sorry,« Babe showed her understanding. »This dude definitely thinks you've gone off the deep end,« Reggie said as the school janitor passed by the guys, looking confused at Babe and Julie.

The two met his gaze but smiled slightly. »Ah,« Babe let out, but everything remained unsaid as the janitor disappeared. Babe laughed at the situation. »We should go back to class,« Julie nodded slightly. Julie walked through the guys, followed by Babe.

But then... »Oh, sorry,« Babe apologized to Luke as her shoulder bumped into his. He just smiled and nodded. Babe continued, but stopped when Julie did and turned to her. Babe slowly realized what had just happened, just like everyone else. »Uh,« she said as she turned to the guys and looked at Luke.

»What was that?« Luke looked confused. »I'd like to know that too,« Alex said. »Okay, so we can see a bit clearer,« Babe began. »Our shoulders-,« Babe was stopped by a person behind her. »Babe, Julie,« the two turned around.

And of course, the principal had to be standing in front of them. »Principal Lessa,« Babe exclaimed surprisingly. She also heard a »Whoa« from Reggie, probably thinking the girls were going to get in trouble.

»Despite the fantastic performance just now, you should be in class,« Babe and Julie nodded slightly. »Come on,« the principal clapped her hands and nodded towards the classrooms. »Uh, yeah,« Babe whispered, briefly glancing at the ghosts, her eyes meeting Luke's, and then disappeared with Julie.
