The world was filled with light. Wait..not the world, this room. Where was I? Where is this light coming from? I try to shield my eyes from it, but that only seems to make it worse. My heart was beeting rappidly in my ears. Their was a strange tingly feeling running threw my whole body. What was this strange sensation?
"Spencer?"
I could hear my name bieng called from somewhere to my right. I turned toward it and took a step closer. Who was calling my name? The voice was shaky but calm. I could feel something pushing against my chest and a pressure on my shoulder. I tried to push against it, but the force didn't budge. My heart beat slowed and I could hear someone crying next to me. "Shian..."
The light began to dim, and I could see the room more clearly. Shian was hugging me tightly. I could feel my lungs contracting, and I gulped for air. She immidiatly released her grip and apologized profusely. My knees buckled underneath me and I fell to the floor gasping.
Shian helped me up and sat me on the hospital bed. The nurses ran from the room screaming. The one doctor left walked up to me and waved a flashlight thing back in forth in my eyes.
"You are perfectly dialated" She said clicking the little flashlight off. She walked up to the door to leave.
"Why didn't you run?" Shian asked grabbing her sleeve.
The doctor stopped and turned. She kneeled to be eye level with Shian "I watched my son gain his powers. Just promise me you both take care of each other. The world hates people like you, but If you stick to the right course I have a feeling you will change thier minds. I'll make sure the nurses dont say anything, but it's Your decision whether you tell your parents or not". She stood and gave us each a warm hug. "Good Luck!" And with that we were left alone in what I hoped was a hospital room.
