«oh my god!» i reacted to sandy's story.
«yeah he was an ass and smells like shit» he continued while rolling his eyes and chewing his gum.
I giggle before someone gets inside the cafe and turn my attention to them, i grab a pen and my pocket book and approach the customer.
Yes me and sandy work a part time waiters in this small cafe in Boston, we met in kindergarten before he decided to become a transgender but insisted on calling him he/him/his so it not a problem, and even at out last year in college we're still friends, he has very long blonde hair with green eyes and really pretty freckles, he usually wears only mascara but trust me he can be a makeup artist with no problem, special talent i guess.
«hello sir what get i get you?» i smiled and waited for his answer.
«i will take a latte and a new york roll» he answered without giving me a glance or cracking a smile.
«sure..» i note his order «what flavor?».
He sighs and frowns and keeps his eyes on his book «whatever you have just give me what i want.»
«be right back» i leave his table and whisper to myself «rude..» before sighing again and go grab his order.
Yeah the work of a waitress is not always as easy as it looks, you need to deal with good people and dumbasses sometimes and need to keep your calm which i absolutely don't have, yeah it sucks i know.

~~~
Next day, After school i wear my waitress uniform and start working.
   «why didn't you come to school today?» i frown in confusion while i lay on the counter.
    «didn't feel like it» sandy shrugs and press some coffee.
    «it the exams next week san» i sigh and cross my arms on my chest.
    «exams equal party» he smiles and winks to me.
     «the hell?» i make a weird face in return, i mean where the hell is the similarity in here?!
    «end of the week, end of exams means party, stop being shitty it'll be fun» he serves some coffee in cups and grabs a pastry and puts it on a plate.
    «i like parties, i just don't like dancing with random people and you know that, stop being an asshole» i roll my eyes playfully and glare at him.
    «i can get a hot man and fuc-»
    «sand.» i cut him straight so he wouldn't finish his sentence.
    «whatever, here» he hands me the plate and a cup of coffee «take those to the woman on table number 3»
    «yes sir» i sigh and take the cup and plate and leave the kitchen.
I give the woman her order and before going back to the kitchen i glance at the customer that has just get in and i was mesmerized, i raise my eyebrows and keep looking at him before making eye contact with him and turn my gaze away then go back where i was.
I clear my voice and get inside.
«what happened you look like you have seen a ghost?» sandy take a look quickly at me before continuing what he was doing.
I look around and answer «oh nothing it just really cold today» i giggle weirdly and avoid his eyes.
«I'm literally sweating» he looks at me with an evident expression.
«yeah probably because you're baking» i scratch the back of my hair.
«the oven is off» he rolls his eyes and keeps mixing.
I clear my voice again «i have work so I'll probably go» i laugh weirdly and leave the kitchen quickly before he asks me any other questions.
I approach the man's table slowly while looking at him, he has mid long blonde hair and very light blue eyes, nearly transparent, he is wearing a Ralph Lauren shirt with the first two buttons open and a tommy hoodie tie around his neck then a classic pants, i keep walking and stop by his table as he glances up at me and smiles, i see his dimples and wide my eyes slightly before i clear my throat and grab my pen and pocket book.
«hi sir what can i get you?» i asked nicely while smiling.
«humm» he looks at the ceiling and looks back at me «what do you have best?» he tilts his head to the side.
and oh my god his voice, deep, masculine just like his cologne that i smelled the minute he put a leg inside this cafe where my nipples hardened.
I look at him for a heartbeat before responding «the cinnamon rolls i guess?» i try not to blush, for god sakes why was i blushing anyway, he's just a random costumer that I'll probably never see again.
«a cinnamon roll it is then» he cracks a wide smile
I return the smile «any drink?»
«a black coffee please»
Did i heard right or am i missing it?! Did he just say please? Oh god-
«yes sir» i turn to leave but stop when i hear him saying something.
«you can call me Alex» i raise my eyebrows and blush before smiling to him and leave to the kitchen.
After i made his order i go back to his table and put the coffee and cinnamon roll on it
   «here we go sir» i smile shyly
   «i said you can call me by my name» he raises his eyebrows and looks up at me
   «sorry i can't do that» i chuckle slightly «you're still my costumer»
   «doesn't matter cause this will be my new favorite restaurant» he smirks on one side and show one dimple.
    «you haven't even tried anything» i frown in confusion but keep smiling.
    «for another reason.» he looks at me and smile widely this time.
We keep looking at each other silently while i blush harder every second that passes, i raise my eyebrows and giggle weirdly.
   «i hope your order will amaze you sir» i keep blush and wide eyed before going back to the kitchen.
