I smiled at Cerberus. While sitting on my bed, I took one last look at him. "Today has been a long day. Maybe a little sleep will help us, don't you think?" I patted the open space on my bed for them.

Cerberus slowly approached the bed and lay down behind me. Once I had started to sleep, he cuddled and gently wrapped his tail around me like he was trying to keep me warm.

I cuddled up against him, starting to yawn and get sleepy. Smiling in my sleep, I quickly dozed off. The lights in my room automatically turned off.

Cerberus's three heads lie on the bed, resting comfortably beside mine. Cerberus' dog body wraps its arms around me, holding me close as I sleep.
Its tail and serpentine tail softly wave back and forth. The warm breaths of Cerberus gently grazed the back of my neck as it fell asleep.

Curling up against him, my door opened, but I stayed asleep. When it opened, my little sister started to walk in. She was in her pajamas, holding a sock, money, and a red blanket. I had given her two things before I left.

Cerberus's eyes were closed but not fully asleep. They moved ever so slightly as the door opened. It observed every movement of my sister, ensuring she was not here to harm me in any way while also trying not to be seen. Cerberus kept cuddling with me. The three heads of Cerberus kept watching my sister even as it yawned.

My sister walked up to my bedside. She climbed into my bed and tried snuggling beside me, waking me up.
"Sis, are you up? I can't sleep."

"Huh, Sis, what are you doing up?" I woke up rubbing my eyes to clear my vision and see what was happening.

One of Cerberus's heads slowly opened its eyes. It watched my sister beside me, unsure whether she was a threat.

It noticed my reaction to her, making the second head slowly open its eyes. The third head continued sleeping, with the serpentine tail twitching.

She explained she started having nightmares and wanted to sleep with me in my room like old times. I didn't refuse, though; after the long day, I wanted some time to spend with her. "Okay, you can sleep in here tonight. But do not bother Cerberus."

Cerberus watched my exchange with my sister, listening to every word. When I said she could sleep here but not bother Cerberus, all three heads opened their eyes to see my little sister getting comfortable on the bed beside me. Cerberus's lips raised in a gentle smile when he realized my sister was not a threat.
