The click of heels is heard as a young beautiful woman strolls by. Everyone eyes followed but no one dared to stop the determined looking woman except for a blonde woman who struggled to keep up with the youthful looking beauty. The girl walks up the large doors and pushed them straight open with a glint of hesitation.

"I'm so sorry Mr. Saltzman. I tried to stop her but—" The blonde woman frantically spoke and the man held up his hand as a smile replaces his lips.

"It's quite alright, Jenna." Alaric stood up, buttoning his suit as he walked around his desk with a bright smile. "Josie, it's been a while." He stopped in front of the girl.

"So it has." Josie tilted her head up.

"No hug for your father?" Alaric opened his arms and Josie fought to bite back a smile.

"I suppose I can spare you one." She eagerly wrapped her arms around her father and was squeezed tightly as well.

"Father- Oh I am so sorry madam, if I had known..." Jenna trailed off once the two split a part,

"It's alright, you can leave now." Josie shot her an innocent smile while Alaric shook his head.

"Josie." He warned.

"You may go now, if you so please." Josie rolled her eyes.

"Excuse her and excuse us Jenna, you were just doing your job so it's alright." Alaric told Jenna more professionally and Josie rose an eyebrow at the woman's reaction.

"Thank you, Mr. Saltzman." She blushes then walks away to leave the two.

"Thank you, Mr. Saltzman." Josie mimics and Alaric chuckles.

"Josie." He warns again.

"She was all blushing and flustered. Women are so easy." Josie shakes her head then moves to sit down in the chair in front of his desk.

"You are a woman yourself." Alaric tells her as he does so as well, but at his own desk.

"Yes, and? Anyways, I am here for an interview." She reveals.

"Interview?" He questioned.

"I would like a job and this seems like the perfect place seeing how I so ever take after you dear father." Josie gave him puppy eyes and he shakes his head with a smile.

"21 and still a child I see." Alaric laughs lightheartedly.

"Just basting in my youth. But please dad." Josie stuck out her bottom lip and pouted.

"Just tell me what you want to do, anything for my princess." He tells her.

"I want to be the CFO." Josie perks up.

"I can't just make you the CFO and you know that." He sighs.

"But you said anything." Josie pouts, this one more signature.

"Nuh uhn, no pouting. I can make you a finance manager and you can work your way up to CFO status aka a promotion. Been meaning to fire someone anyways for harassment." Alaric spoke lowly.

"Okay." Josie pout is replaced with a smile again.

"Good, just sign this contract." He pulls out a piece of paper from his desk and slid it with a pen across the top and towards Josie.

"And...done. Thank you dad, I love you." She shot up and ran over to hug her dad again.

"I love you too, now shoo. I have work." He jokes and Josie giggles.

"Well, one more thing." She pulled away and twirled her skirt.

"Uh oh." He sighs.

"It's not bad, but I want you to meet my girlfriend—" Josie is cut off after long pause.

"But?" He rose an eyebrow.

"But she doesn't know how you know, rich we are so can you pretend?" She pleaded.

"Of course, only people in business know me." He shrugs.

"You're the best, how does Sunday sound?" She wondered.

"Sounds perfect darling." He nods.

"Okay, bye dad!" Josie pecks his cheek happily then skips to the large doors.

"Bye sweetheart." He says as she opens them.

Josie leaves her father's office satisfied with what she was able to do and made her way to a specific desk.

"Mg!" She says loudly once behind and next to his ear which made jump causing her to jump back with a laugh.

"Jesus Josie, don't do that. When did you get back?" He sighed and looked at the girl fully.

"About a couple days ago, how are you my old friend?" Josie sat on his desk and Mg roll his eyes playfully.

"I'm the tech guy, how do you think?" He asks sarcastically and Josie giggles.

"Well at least we'll be working together so we can be real and work best buddies." She gave him ab innocent smile.

"You haven't changed one bit." Mg laughs lightly.

"Of course, something that isn't broken doesn't need to be fixed." Josie sang while getting off his desk and waving bye as she leaves.

She had a few more people she needed to see and luckily they are both free. So they agreed to meet up at a place called The Grill for some lunch. It was small for a place like New York City but it felt very homey.

"Mm, smells so good." Josie says to herself once entering.

"Is that a woman with beautiful brown eyes I know and love, Ms. Saltzman?" She hears from behind her causing her to spin on her heel with a small smirk mixed with a happy smile.

"So it is Ms. Mikaelson, my long and dear ocean blue eyes. Is the other Saltzman here yet?" Josie looked around.

"I suppose not, I have just arrived and it seems so has you darling." Hope flashed Josie her signature Mikaelson smirk.

"Now now, you best not be flirting with me for I am a taken woman." Josie was now an inch away from Hope.

"Sorrows, sorrows and prayers." Hope stuck out an arm and Josie wrapped her arms excitedly around the smaller girl.

"You two disgust me." They hear from behind them and Josie immediately pulls away from Hope's embrace.

"Lizzie!" She practically jumps on her sister, catching attention from strangers.

"I missed you too, I suppose." Lizzie smiled brightly and hugged her sister back happily.

"Blonde Saltzman." Hope greeted.

"Auburn Mikaelson." Lizzie raised an eyebrow while Hope laughs.

"How is life?" She asks.

"The usual." Lizzie shrugs.

"What's going on between you two?" Josie looked between her sister and her best friend.

"Nothing actually, we speak to each other everyday." Lizzie reveals and Hope laughs again.

"Well anyways. I'm hungry and have some news." Josie grabs their hands and drag them to a table since there was a sign telling they could seat themselves.
