"Ms. please, Ms. Mikaelson is very busy right now." A man tells the brunette frantically as the brunette makes large strides to the large office, ignoring the man's plea.
She burst through the doors, catching the attention of her best friend and sister discussing something.
"Josie? Why are you here?" Lizzie questioned her blood, Josie rose an eyebrow.
"I can ask you the same." She crossed her arms.
"Hope and I work together, she's an investor of my business and we were currently discussing my design ideas. Now you?" Lizzie answered rather professionally and Josie was actually shocked, a lot has changed in the past three years.
"I came to ask a question." Josie reveals and Hope and Lizzie share a look.
"You can head back now Landon." Hope sighed and he nods.
"Right, sorry again. She's rather quick." He huffed then left without a second thought before Josie goes to sit down.
"Make it quick, I have a meeting in 10 minutes." Hope tells Josie once she is seated.
"That's harsh." Josie crossed her arms yet again as she furrowed her eyebrows.
"I'm just being honest, sorry." Hope looks at Lizzie to see her shaking her head.
"Well this is killing two birds with one stone, are you two free to meet my fiancé for lunch?" Josie questioned the two.
"Well...yes?" Hope answered, not wanting to make any remarks knowing Josie's temper.
"Great! We'll meet at the Grill. She didn't really like the place I went to with my dad so." Josie shrugged.
"Wasn't that—" Lizzie spoke but was cut off by Josie shooting up.
"Shit I have to go, um, but thanks for sparing me a minute. Bye love you!" Josie yells as she runs to the door.
"Love you too." They say just before the brunette leaves.
There was a moment of silence between the two and Hope could read the blonde's face loud and clear.
"Don't even." Hope sighs and Lizzie scoffs.
"I already don't like her." She states and Hope shakes her head.
"You haven't even met the girl and if Josie's happy then we are happy." Hope clarifies and Lizzie fake laughs.
"Absolutely not, don't get it twisted with me shortcake." Lizzie stood up and looked at her phone to see that she had to head over to an appointment. "Good luck at your meeting." She tells Hope once gathering her stuff.
"Good luck at your appointment." Hope grabs a folder and they both made their way to where they needed to go.
Once lunch hits, they all arrived at the Grill almost simultaneously, and were guided to their seats in about 3 minutes. When they were all seats, Lizzie had her arms crossed as she eyed Penelope up and down while Hope was on her phone, closing a deal.
"Okay I'll start. This is Penelope. Penelope this is my twin sister, Lizzie and my best friend Hope." Josie introduced.
"Nice to meet you two." Penelope greets and they continued with their actions for a second before Lizzie speaks.
"Uh huh." She spoke.
"Likewise." Hope then says.
"Put down the phone." Josie scolds and Hope sighs.
"Josie I am a busy woman, but fine." She set the phone down and leaned forward onto her hands.
"You two have to be respectful, Penelope and I are going to be getting married soon." Josie crossed her arms frustratingly.
"How soon?" Lizzie rose an eyebrow.
"Um, about 2 months soon." Josie clarified.
"Uh huh." Lizzie repeats.
"If you're happy, we're happy." Hope says making Josie smile sweetly.
"Uh huh." Lizzie only repeats, receiving a jab from Hope. "Bitch." She then scolds and Hope only shoots her a look as she scoffs.
"Look, we don't have to get along but I am marrying your sister." Penelope states.
"And who is planning?" Lizzie sighed.
"I am." Penelope answers.
"What are the maid of honor plans?" Lizzie rose an eyebrow.
"There won't need to be one, we are each other's best friends." Penelope interlocked their hands and Lizzie shot up.
"And I'm out." She tried to walk away but Josie stood up.
"Lizzie." Josie called after making her swing around.
"Don't worry, I'll be there for you my dear sister but—" Lizzie was about to say something she shouldn't have so Hope stops her,
"Just sit down." She sighs.
"Ugh." Lizzie groans but complies.
"Please at least try to get along, for me?" Josie gave puppy eyes.
"If you are happy, we are happy." Lizzie decided to say, finally getting why Hope kept saying that.
They both silently and absolutely despised this whole situation, and didn't want to mess anything up for Josie nor disrupt her happiness for their pettiness. Josie's gullibility allows her to smile at Lizzie's reaction and Lizzie looks at Hope.
"Right anyways. Why get married so quickly?" Hope pinched the bridge of her nose for a second and refocused back onto the couple in front of her.
"I mean, three years isn't that quick and Josie is the perfect woman for me. I love her and she loves me." Penelope pulls Josie into her with a happy smile while Josie has one too.
"Does she love you more than—" Lizzie immediately slaps a hand over her mouth and Penelope furrowed her eyebrows.
"What?" She asked, the tone a little harsh for Lizzie and Hope's liking.
"Nothing, ignore that. Social queues are the worse because of my mental issues." Lizzie half lied, she does have a mental illness but it didn't really affect her social queues.
"Um, anyways. We have to get back to work." Hope stood up and so does the twins.
"Yes! I mean, yes. It was okay meeting you and I'll be seeing you in two months." Lizzie was about to leave but she gave her sister a hug knowing the girl was anticipating one.
"Yeah, we'll talk to you later, love." Hope hugged Josie next and Penelope eyed the two with a cross of her arms.
She did not like the pet name and nor the hug, even though it was completely innocent and appropriate from both parties, but to her they are only best friends, they don't need to hug.
