Pomni ran quickly through the dark and torn up circus, or... she assumes her name is Pomni, finding a paper in her pocket, with Pomni on it. She doesn't know what happened! One moment she purchased a headset, and the next she is in a creepy and ruined world that look as though it was destroyed by something.
"This is a nightmare..." Pomni tries to convince herself. She wonders if anyone is here... or was... and if something bad happened to them. Pomni stumbled across a hallway filled with many doors with faces on them.
Some doors look broken, and there are a few that are still intact. Pomni walks down the hallway, looking at all the doors, and she sees a door that has her character models face on it. She carefully opens the door, and sees a nice and clean room, untouched and brand new.
"That's... interesting..." Pomni looks behind her and sees a door, the picture is one of a purple rabbit. Pomni walks over to the door and slowly opens the door, the room is destroyed, and furniture is all worn and beaten. "What happened here...?" Pomni thinks to herself.
Suddenly, the door slams shut. Pomni looks around, panicked. "Hello?!" Pomni looks around, and suddenly she is shoved out of the room, a tall purple rabbit in tattered pink overalls steps on her chest. "Who are y-" the rabbit steps off and backs up. "You're... a person."
"Of course I'm a person! What is happening?! Where am I?!? Who are you?!?" Pomni screams at the rabbit, clearly angry and confused. The rabbit looks up and down, observing Pomni, and he leans against the wall. "I'm Jax... a person trapped here... just like you... you have a name yet?"
"P-Pomni... where... are we?" Pomni nervously asks. "The Amazing Digital Circus... or... it used to be..." Jax says, and he crouches down to Pomni's height. "It's not safe out here..." Jax continues. Pomni looks at Jax's room. "What... happened to your room?" Pomni asked.
Jax looks at his room, and looks back at Pomni. "An accident..." Jax picks up a bat and slides it through his overall straps on his back. "It's really not safe here... follow me..." Jax starts to walk down the hallway, and Pomni follows close behind. "What happened here...?" Pomni asks.
Jax sighs. "Honestly... I barely know... I remember when it was normal... but... something happened... and everyone-" Jax shakes his head and continues to walk. "It's a long story, Pomni..." Pomni looks up at Jax and tilts her head slightly. "Well... can you tell me... if there is anyone else here?"
"There are two others... Ragatha and Kinger... there used to be others... but..." Jax rubs his arm. "They got infected..." Pomni's eyes widen. "Infected by what?" Jax looks away. "When someone goes insane... they turn into these giant, glitchy monsters... we call them the Abstracted..."
Pomni listens, wondering if he is just explaining as much as he can. "The last person who abstracted was Kaufmo... but something went wrong... the abstraction became like a virus... causing the infected to... act... different." Jax looks at Pomni. "They... didn't abstract themselves, they... um... acted... psychotic..."
"Like... like a parasite of some kind...?" Pomni asks. "Exactly." Jax replies. Pomni thinks, she feels nervous about this. "Are you alone currently... like... where are Ragatha and Kinger?" Pomni asks. "I've been alone for a a couple days... I had to go and get some... things..." Jax answers, showing a bag.
Pomni suddenly thinks of something. "You said this was a circus... right?" Pomni asks. "Yes." Pomni thinks of this. "Where is the Circus Ringmaster...?" Pomni asks. Jax stops walking and looks at you. "Caine... despite that he was an AI... he also got infected... as well as the other AIs..."
Pomni looks worriedly at Jax. "When Caine... got infected... the world... changed..." Jax explains. "How so?" Pomni asks. "Well... the sky became... dark and gray... the air is cold most of the time... and all restrictions were disabled..." Pomni listens to this. "Caine practically died... and the world died with him... and then the cellar opened and freed all the abstracted... which is why it's dangerous to be out in the open..." Jax finishes explaining.
Pomni looks around, seeing the world looked dull and dead, and the circus tent was torn up and messy. Jax walks into the main area of the circus and digs around for something. "What are you looking for?" Pomni asks. "Extra buttons... Ragatha needs them..." Jax replies. Pomni nervously looks around and sees a broken moon in the sky, it's glitching.
"The moon is all messed up too..." Pomni says. "Yeah... she was an AI..." Jax replied as he finds a bunch of buttons. "Alright, let's g-" suddenly an abstracted stomps the ground.
Pomni falls to the ground and quickly gets up as Jax pulls her up. "RUN!" Jax yells, as the abstracted chases them.
