after a long drought
you had entered my life
when i needed your love most
i just didn't know it
- right person, right time
the night we met
was the beginning of our love story
it's crazy to think
that one small conversation
led to a love
that is patient, kind
and unconditional
when our eyes met
i could feel your energy
pulling me closer to you
i believe that our souls
were already tied at that moment
our future already planned out
which would last for many years to come
we met
when each of us
were at our lowest
because we were meant
to build each other back up
- we saved each other
you touched my mind
and now
it can't stop thinking of you
- you've made a home inside of my head
you know every one of my love languages
you finish my sentences
as if you can read my mind
you studied me
and now
you've become an expert at loving me
i don't think i will ever find
anyone else who will love me
as much as you do
i rubbed my eye
then looked down at my hand
and saw one of my eyelashes on my finger
naturally, i quickly closed my eyes
and with no hesitation
thought of a wish
then blew the eyelash away
suddenly, i opened my eyes
and you were the first thing i saw
you began to smirk
which would slowly evolve into a smile
"so what did you wish for?"
i looked down at the ground
and said, "you."
you are made up
of every kiss
every hug
and every i love you
each part of you
contains a piece of my love
i feel safe
as i lay my head on your shoulder
i feel comfort
when you hold me in my sleep
i never knew
that home could be a person
until i met you
and now i'm a homebody
you played my body
like an instrument
and the music you made with it
was your favorite song
like a bumblebee
and a sunflower in spring
i'm drawn to you
"i have a feeling that you're going to fall in love with me," those words intruded my ears so sweetly as if they were honey dripping from your lips. i smiled nervously- little did you know, i was already in love with you.
it seems like all i write about is you
you're my muse
my inspiration
the pages in my notebook
constantly crave your essence
and so i continue to pour all of you
onto each sheet of paper i encounter
the sensation
of your bare body
pressing up against mine
is like no other
everywhere you go
contains a piece of your essence
and so you will always
be a part of me
i wonder if you think of me
when i think of you
i wonder if come into your dreams
when you come into mine
when i pray for you
i hope you pray for me, too
as if our minds and our souls
have combined
we read each other's thoughts
i finish your sentences before you do
like we're the same person
and our hearts have intertwined
we're soulmates
in this lifetime, plus a few
the connection that we have
is truly one of a kind
so i consider myself lucky
to have met you
but if we never had
you are someone that i'd go through hell to find
i am infatuated with everything about you
you make me nervous
when you stare into my eyes
and i always get goosebumps
from the anticipation of your hand reaching for mine
every time you kiss me
my stomach gets butterflies
because you said, "we're for life,"
and that we'll be together until the day we die
i only want you
you are perfect in my eyes
i adore your dimples, your lips
every thought that goes through your mind
the connection that we have
only comes once in a lifetime
i'll always remember you
