One-shots: Dekubaku

His stupid smile.

It was that stupid , ridiculous smile. That stupid ridiculous smile that makes Katsuki want to do anything and everything. That smile, filled with happiness and genuine care and love, that smile that is shown purely towards him.

Izuku Midoriya has smiled a lot. Most of them are just habitual. But with Katsuki Bakugou, he can't manage to control the loving smile that creeps up his face. It's not a problem tho. After every smile he shares with Katsuki, he receives a kiss.

Katsuki doesn't mind either, his flutters every time. Izuku's smile makes Katsuki smile.

But this time, Izuku's smile made Katsuki cry.

Izuku had been severely injured in a battle against a few villains. Katsuki had no idea until his agency was contacted for backup for the pro-hero who couldn't handle fighting them and saving civilians at the same time.

When Katsuki and a few other heroes arrived at the battle field , all they saw was destruction. Buildings on fire, children crying and dead bodies with blood splattered all around. While the other heroes fought off the villains, Katsuki went to help Izuku.

It was all going fine until the building started to crumble. Katsuki made it out with all the children with bruises but Izuku didn't. The building then came crumbling down.

Katsuki heart raced, he couldn't breathe properly. Handing the kids to other heroes he rushed to the now broken build and started to blast away huge pieces of it to find Izuku. His Izuku.

After an hour when almost everything had calmed down and the villains fled, Katsuki still kept on looking. On removing another piece of heavy cement, he finally saw him. Messy green curls with dust on them, a stabbed eye, a broken arm and rest of the body covered in blood with a torn costume.

"Izuku, hey- hey"

The blonde reached towards the greenette,

"Izuku - shit, we'll get help. "

The greenette raised his arm which was in a better condition and softly cupped the blonde's cheek. He then smiled at the blonde.

"I'm okay- Kacchan. I really am."

And his body went limp.

Katsuki cried that day. He cried so much.

Now there he was, in the hospital, next to Izuku's bed. The greenette had been in a coma for seven months now. He has had a lot of visitors. Katsuki was there. He was there since the time he was brought to the hospital. Every single day he was there. He was waiting, waiting when Izuku would wake up and flash him a smile like before. And thus, he kept on waiting. Waiting for the day when his Deku would wake up and show him his stupid smile.
