And there he was, glancing straight at those sharp crimson eyes filled with tears.
"Do you love me?"
Katsuki asked in a serene manner, which caught Izuku off guard."Tell me that it wasn't a lie..."
The blonde cried,"Kacchan-"
"I hate you."
"No no no, you're not getting it- I"
"You what Izuku? You what?"
The greenette was at a loss for words,
but seeing the crying blonde in front of him broke his heart. He made him cry like that. He made the one person to whom he swore that he would protect cry."Kacchan listen to me, please-"
Izuku pleaded,
"I love you, so much. So much that it hurts to think that I have to leave. I didn't tell you about this because - because I was scared, I'm a coward. I'm sorry. So sorry."
The blonde let out a sob,
"You should've told me!"
"I know Kacchan! I'm so sorry, so sorry that I hurt you..."
The greenette leaned closer to blonde, placing his hand gently on his face and wiping away the tear that fell, which was useless as new ones continued to fall. Izuku sighed and pulled Katsuki in to embrace him properly. This time, with one hand on the blonde's waist and the other caressing his hair.
"I'm sorry."
"I hate you."
"I'm so sorry Kacchan."
Izuku kept muttering trying to calm Katsuki down, which this time, did help.
"Tell me."
The blonde demanded,
"I'm a human. A bloody fleshy human who lied to the one he loves the most because he hated his life."
"Why do you hate your life? You're a fucking prince!"
Moving his face to look properly at the greenette he said,
"You are a god damn prince. I'm just something."
"You're a Merman."
Izuku scoffed,
"Ya' think it's easy being a prince? Especially if nobody was there to help you? One wrong desicion and that's it. Gone."
The unpleasant look that Izuku gave Katsuki made him want to cry again.
"It's not easy Katsuki. It's like I don't have a life. "
"But fuck,you could've told me!"
"Tell you what? That my father was the king that killed over half of your population?"
"Yeah no shit!"
"Kacchan!"
"I know I wouldn't have the best reaction but it would at least be better than this, Zuku..."
A sob. Yet this time, it wasn't Katsuki. It was Izuku. The greenette buried his face on the blonde's shoulder while the other caressed his hair.
"K-kacchan..."
"We'll figure it out."
"I don't want you to leave."
"I won't."
The night went by, no more questions were asked, only sweet nothings were murmured. While the prince and his merman were fast asleep hidden in their forest, others out in the dark searched and caused panic. In the ocean only a few merpeople were searching while on land an entire Kingdom was panicking. Now, how will the prince and his merman figure it out?
